Jalen Ramsey to the Rams! (1 Viewer)

Its odd because he's a great football player and also a charitable philanthropist, but his mouth makes me giggle when Diggs makes him look like a fool.

Better to speak softly and carry a big stick (Ed Reed, Champ Bailey, Darrell Revis, etc.).

NBC's Mike Florio reports Rams CB Jalen Ramsey wants a new contract if traded.

Ramsey has three years left on a five-year extension signed in 2020 that's the second largest cornerback deal in the league. Trading Ramsey before June would leave $19 million in dead money for the Rams while a post-June trade would leave $8.2 million. The Rams don't have the cap space for Ramsey, who wants a new deal after Packers CB Jaire Alexander and Browns CB Denzel Ward got higher averages last offseason. Whatever team trades for Ramsey will need to sign him to an extension that makes him the highest paid corner.

The Athletic's Jeff Howe reports a trade of Rams CB Jalen Ramsey to Dallas is "picking up steam in league circles."

The Dallas secondary struggled in the second half of last year after losing CB Jourdan Lewis to IR. Ramsey could be a fit for the Cowboys, who believe they are 'one piece away from being an elite defense.' Pairing Ramsey with Treevon Diggs would give the Cowboys one of the top corner tandems, but wouldn't come cheap, likely costing Dallas a first-round pick and a new contract extension.
