WR Jalen Royals, KC (1 Viewer)

Doesn't Reid and his regime take their time with Rookies (trust), no matter the situation?
That and they have a lot of receivers already. I don’t see this as a desperate situation where they’ll have to force feed the rook.

What’s a realistic target share? 10%? 5%? Will he even get starts? Rotational player? Where is he on Mahomes check-down list? 5th option? 6th?

Just tryna get a mile high view here. If folks are high enough on him I might try to sell in the league I have a share. ;)

I think he's absolutely a threat to Hollywood Brown at some point this season, and that's assuming Brown can stay on the field, which he hasn't done much of since he was in Baltimore. 10% feels reasonable, with some upside for more depending on Rice/Brown being on the field. I think Royals can easily start the season ahead of JuJu.

I can agree with that - many have suggested he’s a threat to Rice’s value.

Potentially, if Rice continues to act a fool (or down the road if the Chiefs decide Rice is not worth the hassle of extending).

What if Jalen Royals is just better than Rice? Maybe not initially but crazier things have happened. It took Rice nearly his whole first year to get going.

That crash causin', scene leavin' douchebag is about to get Wally Pipped! Sign me up.
I mean it's possible but Rice has been pretty darn productive. Maybe he's mostly a beneficiary of the right role on the right team. His last 17 NFL games, Rice has averaged 16.6 ppr ppg. That is some impressive territory. There are only 15 or so WRs a year who can do that. I will say I scoffed at first thinking Rice was much bigger and Royals would be too small for the role but I was surprised to see Rice is only 6'0" 200. I thought for sure he was like 6'2" 215 but nope Royals actually measured a little bigger than Rice at the combine.

Rice and Royals are very similar physically. Main differences being Rice has 2+ inch longer arms and 5 inches higher vert, both help him to play bigger.

Agree Rice has been super productive and it's highly unlikely Royals ever reaches that, just thought it was interesting their similarities and like I said initally, crazier things have happened.
