Anyone know more about this or is just one of those putting him down on the injury report but not really mean it things.

Hip flexors are usually a lingering injury, much like a hammy. So this does not suprise me.

Ravens :: RB, WR, DB

RB J. Lewis, WR Mason, CB McAlister, Good To Go

Edward Lee, Baltimore Sun - [Full Article]

WR Derrick Mason and CB Chris McAlister proclaimed themselves healthy and available for the team's regular-season opener at Tampa Bay. RB Jamal Lewis, who missed the final two preseason games to rest his left hip flexor, said he should be ready to play Sunday. "I think we're healthy across the board," HC Brian Billick said.

I read elsewhere that his hip flexor healed faster than they had anticipated and that he could have played the fourth preseason game it meant anything.

KFFL - Jamison Hensley, of the Baltimore Sun, reports Baltimore Ravens RB Jamal Lewis (hip) practiced Thursday, Sept. 7, and is listed as questionable for Week 1. He will likely start the season opener, but the amount of carries he will receive is unknown.

He played the first 2 preseason games with the injury didn't he? He could have played the rest but they wanted the injury to have a chance to heal before the season. At least that's what I understand from the articles and some posts that I've read.

This is correct. From what was reported, he was shut-down in preparation for Tampa Bay. This doesn't discount the fact the he is/was injured, but I don't think that his status for week 1 was ever seriously in doubt.

He seems fine. Probable right now and ready to go. What else can you do now, just sit back and see if Jamal 2 years ago shows up or Jamal '05? Just sit back and wait now?

interesting, I must now decide J Lweis vs t bell. I hope all season is as crazy as this...

oh and I am going with bell. The injury only scares me a lil away, that tamba bay defenses ability to shut down afging backs (orreally any backs) is more the reason.
