I'm going to bow out of this thread. This will no doubt come across as condescending, but that doesn't make it any less true: If you're going to start discussion threads, you should take some time to research the issue so you know what you're actually mad about. You know that you hate Pelosi but you don't actually know the history of the 1/6 commission; you wanted to start a list of her mistakes but it took you three tries before you could come up with any. I feel like I'm arguing with an AI bot programmed to spit out the conservative id.

So one situation has important unanswered questions that are a waste of time at best, maybe a partisan witch-hunt to try to answer.  And another situation is pretty much understood so if we are serious we should go fishing for reasons to exist.

And how is this supposed to work?    Congress going to hold trials?  Going to step on the authority of local governments?  Going to withhold federal funds from rioters?

But there should be hearing on why we have issues with police fearing for their lives to such extremes that they keep killing on camera.

You can stop making excuses for your side's bad behavior anytime now. Unless you really believe that it's okay for your side to commit violence and insurrection and not be held accountable? Is that what you believe?

The fact of the matter is that we need a commission because we need to find out how the violence started and who is responsible for the BLM\Antifa insurrections so we can bring them to justice.  What they did was even worse than what happened on January 6th.

And nothing in his post was excusing bad behavior.  Anyone participating in violence should be arrested for it.  Has anyone said otherwise?

Sides? Can you provide the link where Biden calls on BLM to fight like hell to get their point across? Only one “side” is trying to condone an insurrection…

Somehow I don't think you would like that answer, but we can hold hearings so rather than dealing with “the language of the unheard” we can just listen.  That is true for both sets of riots.

You guys keep coming up with petty reasons as to why your insurrection was ok.

"My side had X and your side had Y!  Y is worse than X."

"Uhm...your side had Y too"

"Well, your side had Z too and Z is much worse than X and Y"

"Your side also had Z"

"Yeah, but your side had ZZ and ZZ is much worse than X, Y and Z!"

You keep misusing the word “insurrection”.   I know you badly want it to fit so you can continue to conflate two events that not the same, but you look silly and desperate doing so.

It's not that I'm misusing it, it's that you're SELECTIVELY using it.  You don't want to put it on "your side" where it legitimately belongs because then you wouldn't be able demonize the other side and create sham investigations.  Your side wholly supported BLM/Antifa.  Our own vice-president advocated to bail out and not charge people who were arrested for the looting, violence and arson (among other things).

If the shoe fits, you have to wear it.  And, boy, it fits you perfectly.  In fact, it fits you so perfectly you have an extra set to use in case you lose those the originals.

This is the best descriptor of your posts I can imagine. You are wearing out the shoes that say "I am so partisan that I will forever refuse to see the reality behind what I support and will instead bomb the PSF with posts so unintentionally ironic that others will literally slap their foreheads with dismay that someone can be so oblivious."

But hopefully this thread will keep you and Noonan out of the real 1/6 threads where we discuss the reality of one of the most anti-democratic events in our nation's history and the long term repercussions of it.

I’m as disgusted by 1/6 as one could be, but it’s all political theater at this point.  This is just another example of politics at its worst (which unfortunately, for all of us, is the standard these days).
