Jared Allen--"I beat that dude like a red-headed step child" (1 Viewer)

Baltimore Ravens first-round offensive tackle Michael Oher's five-year deal includes a total maximum value of roughly $13.8 million and $7.8 million in combined guaranteed money plus his playing-time incentive, according to a league source.
Jared paid his dues playing at a probowl level for several year while making 4th round money. The kid should show some respect, shut his mouth and try to earn his money.

"That's just a rookie trying to build his self-confidence up. Besides, you lost and your quarterback spent his whole day on the back of his head until the fourth quarter. That guy (Oher) will watch film today and realize. Everybody else in the world saw me abuse him."
Yeah, and then that QB and the rest of their offense lit you up in the 4th quarter and would have won had a kicker made a FG.
Agreed. The entire Viking D should shut their mouths after that pathetic breakdown at the end of the game. Don't these guys even have the good sense to be embarrassed when they play like that ?No. Instead they talk trash about how well they played. This doesn't bode well for that team's future. Similar to Dre Bly's antics last week. Childress needs to smack these children up side their heads.
Seriously quit trying to make it what it's not. If you watched the post game interview with Allen he flat out said it was the worst defense he's ever been a part of in the 4th quarter. In this instance he was only responding to a rook O-lineman who was trying to say he got the better of Allen when he didn't.

I was looking for Jared Allen on Ray Rice's last TD run, but unfortunately he got pushed so far outside he wasn't in the replay.

Well, that must settle it, then. Oher wins!

Allen's job on a run off tackle is contain, that is to force the runner to the inside. He did that. His it's the LBs job to make the play after that.

What do you expect? Oher completely disrespected Allen. A guy starting his 6th game is saying he made a Pro-Bowl regular look average. Oher was asking to be made fun of.

ITT: Politically Correct's getting their panties in a bunch. There are many many worse things he could have called him.

Speaking of that run...how in the world do the refs not throw a flag on Mason for holding Cedric Griffin? It was in open space and obviously stopped him from getting to Rice - it was an easy call. As it turned out, it was good for the Vikings because they weren't going to stop the Ravens and it left the Vikings enough time to drive down the field, but still, that is a call that has to be made.

FWIW, Oher has played exceptionally well as a rookie this year. The game is on NFL Network right now. Watch it and come back and comment. Allen is the best DE in the game right now and has abused many OTs. Something else to keep in mind, Oher was the right tackle in the first three games he played before being moved to LT after the injury to Gaither. I think he did a damn good job as a rook facing Allen. Go check it out...

Again, after watching the entire game, Allen was a presence and certainly affected the game. That being said Oher played well in only his 2nd start at LT in the NFL. His quotes were taken a bit out of context but he did say it so, he's gotta expect a response. That being said, I think he did a pretty good job against a player like Allen. His comments weren't inflammatory or self serving IMO

"It's just a big misunderstanding," said Oher, who was flagged for two false starts during Sunday's 33-31 loss to the Vikings.. "That guy's a great player. I have nothing but respect for that guy.

“He's doing a great job. He was definitely a challenge and I've got nothing but respect. We got into it during the game and it got kind of emotional, but it's over now."
I guess he got scared.
