Starting quarterback Jeff Garcia’s availability for Sunday is still unknown. Earlier this week, it was discovered that Garcia has a hairline fracture and not a lower back contusion as originally thought. With Texans starting quarterback Matt Schaub possibly unavailable as well, both teams’ backups may be forced into action.

FWIW...and I did not hear this firsthand...but...

A Bucs-related business associate talked to the most "inside" source possible with Garcia. SHE said that JG will NOT play this weekend.

The Bucs want to both rest JG now that the playoffs are basically clinched, and they want to give McCown another chance to play to see if he continues the success from last week.

It's not official...and probably won't be until near gametime...but an "inside" source says he not playing.
