**Jets at Jaguars**(-14, 41.5) 1:00 (4 Viewers)

Jet Jaguar is one of my favorite MST3Ks, I always think about that whenever these teams play.

14 feels like a high spread for this Jags team, but the Jets are that bad. Starting Brady Cook, I think the Jets are no lock to top 100 passing yards. Maybe Breece Hall breaks a screen or something, but I don't see any real offensive success beyond Hall, and I think the Jags quietly might have the best run D in the NFL. Josh Hines-Allen is an elite rusher, and while I like the Jets young OTs, they are gonna lose if left on an island against him. I expect sacks and turnovers, and the Jags to be a top-3 defense play.

For the Jags offense, Brian Thomas got deep a few times last week, but the fact is, he's the #3 in this passing game right now. Jakobi Meyers is the clear #1, and they manufacture looks for him. He's a high-end WR2 in this matchup. Brenton Strange is a solid option at TE (he looks really impressive on tape) even though the Jets aren't bad against TEs. But the real big guy this week looks like Travis Etienne. I don't know if Tuten's smaller workload was injury or fumble related (probably both) but the Jets give up a lot of big plays, and Etienne shouldn't find himself lacking in the opportunity department. I think he's an arguable top-5 RB this week.

Jaguars-28
Jets-14

I think that 14 includes a garbage time score.

Glenn would like nothing more than to remind everyone how much he learned under Parcells and run the ball 5000 times in one game.
The Jags gotta force Hall to get tired and Cook to pass.
The Jags have been dopey in a traditional 'why ya playing zone giving them easy ones' type way when they have a lead.
I wouldn't be surprised if Martinez/Cook make a little comeback.
The Jags haven't been good til this year and they have to start to act the part. They have to run and eat the clock and develop killer instinct and put teams away. They're looking for that type growth today and the Jets are ripe.

Jaguars defenders are so much better this year but used to be so susceptible to pinning their ears back to chase the QB that if the other team runs, they scoot right by em'. Their safeties are the only reason they weren't the worst run defense the last couple years. As a whole they've been a lot better this year and kudos to the new staff on that. This is the Jets only hope as I see it and idk that you can manufacture fakes with a rookie QB.

The Jets are gonna need some dawgs like Brownlee to get some INTs and be a presence because the offense won't generate enough points as is. Glenn is made for this so it's possible.

Strange is pretty boy's guy. His whole demeanor changes once he's gotten a pass to Strange. If he gets frantic, ooh there's a pass to Strange and he's good again. The Jets have to have to have to do all they can to stop Strange as if he's their MVP. Watch for it. It's like a 1980s QB TE duo.

Grim for Jets but could be a fun day of enjoying Cook or Martinez growing into a starting QB. They both can run and ...could be fun.
