Job interview advice.....Drug screen negative Update on page 16 (1 Viewer)

:lmao:  Sometimes you just go too far with this shtick. You sell the genius IQ plus the naivete', but then you up the ante too much and overplay your hand. Shirts come with different collar sizes, who knew?
If you actually read the thread Sherlock you would have seen I don't really have much to spend on a new shirt so I was referring to my current shirts which were purchased without the consideration of ever wearing a tie.

so in a way I wasn't really aware because I've never had to shop for a larger collar. Much like how you probably aren't aware they make jimmy hats larger than standard.

Why don't you put on your baby blue shirt and button up the collar to see how long you can stand it? If you end up passing out, at least it will save us from your inane, incessant posting for a while.

I, for one, would miss him.  I love how he invites abuse, pretends he did not, and then gets angry when his invitation is accepted.  I like him presenting himself both as the least experienced fella in the world, and then changing up to intellectual superiority and experiencing non-experience.

He is a great example of attempting shtick and unintended comedy.  There is a zen-like brilliance to this if you only suspend disbelief.  He is the embodiment of right stooge at the right time.

Classic ignorant opinion comparing intelligence to experience.

The stooge we deserve

There is a Nordstrom Rack in Arlington, they have had some well priced deals in the past. Worst case scenario is you can try on some different sizes.

Consider getting a shirt that you can button the collar.

For shoes, consider a burgundy loafer. The Cole Haan Pinch Tassel in Oxblood has been my go to shoe for 12 years. I have 4 pairs and rotate them through and one pair is usually at the cobbler.  They work well with navy and gray suits, as well as a khaki/navy blazer combo.

Best of luck.
This is like a passage from American psycho

was this serious? I ask not because I have to suspect it isn't but because I don't know about this type of clothing.

Good News

A)  If you dress too nice, they won't hire you because you think you are too good for the job.

Bad News

B)  Accounts Manager - probably doesn't mean what you think.  My guess is some kind of cold calling, maybe to existing clients.  If you don't produce after a few months, they'll let you go.  They probably hire and fire a lot of people because cold calling is not easy.

C)  It probably pays "up to 60K" meaning you have to hit some unlikely performance goals to get to 60K.
If it's up to 60k what is the standard base salary for something like this?

if they don't hire me for dressing too nice would this apply to blue collar work as well? If I wore a suit to those types of interviews would it put me out of consideration for a truck driving or warehouse supervisor position if I wore a nice suit?

What kind of clothes do you usually wear. Go after jobs that fit your lifestyle. Money isn't always the right answer for working.

This is why I continue to read these threads, even though they are eye-gougingly stupid. Props to whomever used eye gougingly upthread.

I'm thinking you might be right. I did well the majority of the time with my previous company because I was great money after a long period of poverty and just rolled with it but after about a year I found it soul killing and monotonous.

Felt like a complete phony and that I wasn't myself.

The promotion gave me a temporary boost until I realized how awful the workforce and clientele is in this area. I also don't like how out of shape I've gotten after 2 years behind a desk. I feel like I aged 10-15 years in 2. I very much desire to do a more physically demanding job so I can focus my brainpower on things I care about rather than dealing with the nonsense of the staffing industry.

I'm a metalhead so almost exclusively black t shirt and jeans
you know, you can be a metalhead after work and on weekends. we won't pull your \m/ card.

do you like or know anything about cars? you could probably get a job at the local Napa/O'Reilly's Auto Parts store working the counter or being a delivery driver. won't make near $60k, probably more like $30k, but it would pay the bills until you can find something better.

I worked for Napa as a driver about 12 years ago. I don't really know much about cars. No more than most but I learn very quickly.

How are you completely broke after working at a job for a year where you were making great money?

My truck broke down a month ago and I had to use my savings to buy a new car.

edit- I only got the promotion 7 months ago. Majority of my income after necessities went towards 2 vehicles.

The car that will only get you a $700 title loan? How much did you spend on it?
$2800.  With a couple of repairs it needed close to $3200 altogether.

i said at least $700. Some estimate calculators were closer to $900.

if you add in the costs of the truck that crapped out along with repairs and tows it needed a little over $10k went towards vehicles. My manager salary was 45k. Do the math of why I have next to no savings.

Understandable but many of us work behind a desk and find a way to not be totally out of shape.

If you want a physically demanding job there are plenty out there.

Far be it from me to argue with a guy with an IQ of 178, as measured by Facebook's most sophisticated clickfarms, but I beg to differ. It seems to me you have demonstrated that you don't ever learn.
It's no sign of good health to be well adjusted to a profoundly sick society

When you are running a staffing office solo you are basically working 24 hours a day with no real free time because the parade of imbeciles are blowing up your phone constantly. I never had the time and energy for any exercise on my time.

it was easier to stay in shape in NY because I did a lot more walking .

Dibs on Oblivious Stooge as a username.

Ahh, a common theme in your posts. Everybody else and society are the problem. You bear no responsibility for why you are where you are.
The world is corrupt and vile. People such as yourself are also guilty for just being complicit in it......although you are clearly far worse than just being complicit.

Ahh the return of Angry RNR (or insert any of your previous usernames). The cycle continues.

You are clean and pure as the newly fallen snow with your attempts to scam the system and blame everybody else.

Not just her but also coward bullies like you. There are many like you that hide behind safe barriers.

Hopefully karma is real and you pay dearly for being the subhuman that you are. People such as yourself should be immolated in the streets.
Oh man if Karma is real, you have a serious ####storm heading your way.

Now I ask you good people of the FFA, does this sound like a person pulling down $60+K a year or somebody standing on a street corner screaming at the sky?

Yes let's hear from some of the other human abuses because those are the only ones that would even respond to you in support.

you are likely one sad and physically weak man. Almost certainly.

I wouldn't even know where to begin to answer that. I could write a book.

I'm listening.  Well, reading but you get the point.

Eta: seriously, if you can write a book do so.

Is it common for people with genius IQs to overreact and call for people that disagree with them to be killed or burned in the streets?
There are so few of us how should I know?

you don't just disagree with me you constantly attack me unprovoked. Something you wouldn't do in person because you would be severely beaten if you did. You are a typical coward and probably a closet homosexual.

id bet good money on it.

If this is your attempt to ask me for a hookup, I'm sorry but I'm not interested. You can try Craigslist to find a dude that is into you. NTTAWWT.

Craigslist isn't just used for looking for jobs you know.
