Joe Addai - Just Keeps Chugging Along (1 Viewer)

I can't think of a player who has a larger spread of being overlooked or unimpressive or at the very least unexciting relative to the numbers he actually puts up than Joseph Addai.

I have him on both of my teams. Am reluctant to start him every week. Have sat him already twice for various RBs.

And yet the guy continues chugging along, catching a lot of passes, picking up his usual 50-60 yards on the ground, and most impressively, bangs in multiple TD games on occasion.

Joseph Addai, the Rodney Dangerfield of fantasy football.

Definitely an underrated fantasy player. And I think if he played on a team with a solid run blocking O Line, he would be a very good # 1 NFL back. The Colts get zero push in the run game.

I've been saying this ever since he was drafted. For some reason the board mob mentality is that Addai is a crappy RB. Despite a good rookie season, and a very good second year, his injuries and then OL issues only fortified peoples anti-Addai stance. Then Brown got drafted because the Colts had no depth, and people who drafted Brown for their FF team insisted he was drafted because Addai "sucks"Over the last couple years, as I've defended Addai, the vast majority here have derided me. Its refreshing to see some actually can see how underrated Addai really is...

Until this year, Ryan Grant comes to mind.

I tried a few offers for Addai last week but guy didnt take them. Doubt any Addai owners are selling now.

Hes a solid RB2 in fantasy football. A below average NFL RB. Sure the OLine is partly to blame but he has no moves, no speed, no power. He does everything solidly, nothing spectacularly.

Come on, still? Addai may not be flashy, but he definitely has speed and power, he had one of the best combine performances in years when he came out. I can't believe people still want to knock him

 Addai is a better fantasy RB than real one. Put him on an average NFL team and he would be an afterthought. He is just fortunate to be on a great offense with the best QB, which enables him to put up good touchdown numbers. I have him on one of my teams this year and am thrilled with his production as my number 2 RB.

Exactly the opposite. Addai would perform much better on a team that was geared toward the run. The Indy OL is built to pass block, they are not good run blockers. The Colts also often abandon the run, so Addai's opportunities are often limited in games.

 He is a 3 down back, too. he can catch the ball and is a very good pass blocker. Indy O Line is horrid at run blocking. Horrid.
