The awesome thing about the shoot out scenes is the head shots. First off, unlike every action movie I've ever seen, he makes sure EVERYONE is dead. Two gutshots isn't satisfactory for him. Gotta finish with that headshot. I've never seen that so emphasized in a flick before. Secondly, they looked so real in the physics of it, ie, the way the heads jerk back when he gets that headshot. The most realistic looking shooting scenes in that sense. I don't know how they did that, but it was cool.

That's what I noticed most too and mentioned it in the movie thread. I don't remember seeing so much attention to the headshots before. A couple of times you'd see the bullet come out the other side. Sick kills. Very good movie.

Action movies, like horror, ought to measured on a sliding scale. Best action movie I've seen since Skyfall.

Skyfall was meh. John Wick was pretty straightforward to the point. Much better for an action film. Skyfall tried to be too clever and it wasn't.

Happened to come across this movie on HBO. Great for what it is. Very well done.
