Josh Reed on anyone's radar? (1 Viewer)

Billy Ball Thorton

He leads the team with catches, but for som reason FBG has him listed 4th on the depth chart while Buffalo Bills have him listed as the starter.

Does anyone know what the case actually is.. I may have to plug him in vs. Rams this week.

He starts. However he's been around long enough to prove he's worthless unless you're in a ridiculously deep league or you get points for blocking.

:lmao: That's why I dropped him in one of my leagues. I'd attribute his early performance to small sample size, and to the fact that Hardy as a rookie is taking some time to learn the system enough to take over the starting gig.

So James Hardy worth starting this week???
Probably not. Really the only startable guys on the Bills who weren't such in the preseason are Edwards and Lindell. Maybe Royal if you're desperate at TE.

from 2007 and 2008, in games where Edwards has played, Reed has averaged 5 targets, 3.2 receptions, and 38 yards per game.

I expect that Evans and Reed will start the game and play in 2WR formations. When the Bills go 3-WR, Hardy will line up outside and Reed will play from the slot. If they go 4WR, Justin Jenkins will play inside as well, but I'd expect more 2TE formations with Royal and Schouman this week.

Hardy may get some targets, particularly near the goal line, but I'd be surprised if he played 50% of the snaps.

We are talking Rams Def here??? They were murdered by a WR...less Seattle team? Choice between Stucky(Jets) Walter or Hardy??Who do you start(yes Im desperate with Westbrrok out, Colston out and bye weeks)!!

Josh Reed has been the WR2 starter for the past 2 seasons. He is a solid possession WR, but definitely not a big play threat. He's actually one of the better 3rd-down WRs in the game.

Reed is a lock for 60 receptions, but he will have low YPC playing underneath & not having breakaway speed. I doubt he gets more than 3-4 TDs for the year, even with Parrish out.

When Hardy is ready to start, Reed will move to the slot- where he is much better suited anyway.

For this week, and this week only, Reed should be a solid bye week fill in WR3 for your team. He'll probably have his best game of the year this week.
