Julian Edelman Bandwagon Thread (1 Viewer)

This guy, in a very short sample size, has put up Welker-like #'s when he's taken his spot. We may see it during the playoffs. Very likely Welker doesn't come back until midseason, if at all, in 2010.

I have a very strong feeling that Edelman will be a top 10-15 WR in ppr leagues next year for at least half the year. I'll be going after him during this offseason where I can.

:lmao:

Had very little opportunities, like many predicated because of Welker's fairly rapid recovery, and did not make the most of them. I still think they are grooming him as Welker's replacement, and I have a feeling this may be Welker's last year. I think Edelman can be as effective as Welker, as he displayed when Welker was out a couple of times in 2009.

I also think they are trying to increase his versatility, especially as a RB.

seems unnecessary given the fact they have BJGE and woodhead. they did just fine in the system they used for them. i don't know what to expect of their draft outside of a a legit OLB to rush but they need help at WR. edelman could step forward as he's got experience learning it and apparently has the physical skills. he just needs more opportunity.

whats up with this guy? he looks to be wes welkers replacement.. not getting much action so far though

If you have roster space, Edelman is a worthy gamble. I have no idea what's happening with Welker. If Welker does get traded or Edelman's role continues to increase, Edelman could have some nice upside. He's worth a stash for a 2-3 weeks to see how it plays out in N.E.

Wow, people sure are panicking about Wes Walker.
I am actually forced to start him this week with the recent news on Hakeem being out tonight and having used both of my pickups for the week. My plan was to stash him for a week or 2 but now it's coming back to bite me. It's not so much about Welker, more about Hernandez being out that was the tipping point here. He put up those numbers last game after Hernandez exited.

I bumped the thread so I guess your response was to my post. I wouldn't panic about Welker now that Hernandez is injured but pre-injury I would have been concerend. Welker's time on the field had decreased and there was chatter that NE was open to trading him. I never read such things in previous years. Plus, you're hearing more from the coaches about Edelman and that he earned an increase in pt. Add that all up and I see no reason for Edelman not to be a good short term stash if you have roster space.
