Julio/Fleener/2.09 for Watkins/1.01 (1 Viewer)

10 team Dynasty PPR (.5) League

Lineup: 2QB, 3WR, 2RB, 2TE, 2Flex

My Roster:

QB: Roethlisberger, Wentz, Garoppolo, Savage

WR: D. Hopkins, D. Thomas, S. Watkins, M. Bryant, Ted Ginn, T. Lockett, T. Austin, S. Coates, E. Rogers, M. Wheaton, D. Inman

RB: E. Lacy, A. Peterson, J. Charles, Duke Johnson, Jacquizz Rodgers, K. Marshall

TE: Eifert, Ertz, J. Cook, G. Barnidge

2017 Picks: 1.01, 1.02, 1.08, 1.10, 3.01, 4.04, 4.06

I'm obviously leaning away from it since I'm pretty deep at WR already, but I see Julio and that's about as high quality a player as you can get. Just want to make sure I'm not crazy for passing this up.

Seems cheap for the 1.1.  I can see why the Julio owner would offer it.

I would probably be willing to do the deal for Julio in a vacuum even then, on the philosophy of stockpiling studs.

You are hurting at RB though, and a shiny new Fournette would really shore up that side of your roster.  If you do deal for Julio, see if you can capitalize on preseason Bryant-mania to flip him for a solid starting RB.

Yeah, that seems like an overpay to me. If Watkins can stay healthy, he might not be too far behind Julio going forward, and you have a gigantic RB need. I'd stay put and take Fournette and McCaffrey.

I would take it - Julio is by far the best player in the deal and rookie draft picks are overrated IMO. Watkins is injury prone, plays in an offense that is run-first in a bad weather city, and his career high in catches for a season is 65. Julio's career low for catches in a season is 41 and he only played 5 games that season. Talent-wise this isn't close.

The only legitimate reason to turn this down is because Watkins is 24 and Julio is 28 and your roster doesn't look like it is built to win now. In that sense I can see saying no and keeping the pick and I agree with the poster above.

I would take the deal but I don't value draft picks as much as many.  I would rather take the proven commodity in Julio that I know is a stud and still get a shiny new toy at 1.02.  I would however see about removing Fleener and adding a RB instead in the deal.  You have no use for Fleener at all so might as well get another RB to choose from.
