Initial thought, don't draft a pitcher until the last 3 rounds. I mean with 10 teams and 2 spots per team, that's 20 SPs. There's enough to go around. Right? Or is the strategy to lock up two studs and never look back?

As for closers? only 1 RP? Same here. Or lock up a guy early and forget about it?

what are your game/innings limits? just because you only start 2 at once doesn't mean you only need 2.

p.s. - and, are you sure there are only the 3 starting slots for pitchers and no "P" slots?

If you are right, I would wait on all pitchers. The worst you can do is a top 10 RP, and two top 20 SP's? WHO CARES, let everyone else chase pitching, and dominate on the offensive side

You could in theory carry a ton of pitchers and start two every day.Also, what's the scoring? If it's 5x5 roto, pitchers still count for 5 categories. Santana could almost win you 4 of them by himself.Another thing is that closers with SP eligibility can be very valuable in a format like this, although off the top of my head and I can't think of any this year.

My draft is this weekend, so finding out a key part of the league rules days in advance throws a nice wrinkle into my gameplanning.Again, thanks for your opinion and response. really? i took it as that he thought you should be peeved about only hearing about it a few weeks early. but either way, at least you know. wait on pitching, build a damn good offense...
