What difference does it make? He was still driving drunk at at least twice the legal limit. Makes me wonder what his tolerance is like? Does he live at a 0.1 with constant consumption? This is a VERY bad sign for Blackmon going forward......I think the guy has a serious problem.obviously not an excuse, but perhaps he woke up hung over and got pulled driving home and his BAC was still extremely high from the night before?
Ugh. That reminds me of the summer I had Driver's Ed at 7:30 in the AM. Not a good idea. Carry onobviously not an excuse, but perhaps he woke up hung over and got pulled driving home and his BAC was still extremely high from the night before?

I wonder what would make Blackmon drink so heavily? http://jac.scout.com/2/1183764.html![]()
This just made taking Martin at 1.02 a whole lot easier.

Do we know for sure that Floyd wasn't a passenger in Blackmon's car?Interesting that one of the reasons some people ranked Blackmon ahead of Floyd was because of Floyd's alcohol issues.
It would make a difference to me regarding his maturity and decision making. I had a friend in college get the morning DWI after a night of sleep. Responsible and smart guy just never crossed his mind that after a night of sleep on a Sunday morning drive home he would have to worry about a DWI and until it happened to him I honestly never considered it either. What difference does it make? He was still driving drunk at at least twice the legal limit.obviously not an excuse, but perhaps he woke up hung over and got pulled driving home and his BAC was still extremely high from the night before?
I take a different point of view. I'd be even more worried if he had been out drinking the night before and woke up feeling fine to drive at an alcohol level of > 0.15!! For most of us, we would be stumbling around at > 0.15.....it appears Blackmon can handle way more than that if he had been drinking last night and was still > 0.15 this AM!! This is an extremely bad sign.So I disagree with your point a view. This is not maturity. This spells a big time problem with alcohol....something that likely isn't going to be cured anytime soon for Blackmon. you're making an awfully big assumption with very little as far as facts go... might want to tone it down a bit until we learn what was really going on. lolI take a different point of view. To clarify, you're more worried if Blackmon woke up after a long night of drinking to drive home and got pulled over than the alternative, which is that Blackmon is up boozing and driving at 9am on a Sunday morning?I take a different point of view. Honestly, he was replying a poster who did the same thing. the only thing we know is that Blackmon was caught drivng above .15 in the morning. If that was "hair of the dog," early morning drinking or the residule from last night is all specualtion.you're making an awfully big assumption with very little as far as facts go... might want to tone it down a bit until we learn what was really going on. lolI take a different point of view. Absolutely. He had sinned the previous night and woke up extra early to go to church Sunday morning and hit the confessional booth. No reason to worry here.Okay, you are right. Retweed by Dodds, don't know if its accurate or not: Peter Burns @PeterBurnsRadio 2h Justin Blackmon arrested last night for "Aggravated DUI", which is over .15. At 215 pounds that around 13 beers or so. Carl Eller all or nothing fishing expeditions.
My point exactly! Neither situation spells good things for Blackmon. If he was drinking this AM and drove with a BAL of > 0.15, my question would be "what the %*#@* is he doing drinking that much by 10 AM?!!". If it was a BAL > 0.15 left over from last night my question would be "how much did he drink the night prior!?!" The latter in my opinion would spell a MUCH greater problem with alcohol......which would not be just having a few beers with friends. We are talking loads of alcohol!! SO either way this again is just bad news for Blackmon no matter how you slice it! I'm glad I passed on him in all my leagues.Honestly, he was replying a poster who did the same thing. the only thing we know is that Blackmon was caught drivng above .15 in the morning. Yes, all we know is that it was OVER 0.15. Here is a calculator that is fun to play with. Even if Blackmon, at 215 pounds, had 13 beers over 6 hours his estimated BAL would be < 0.15 http://bloodalcoholcalculator.org/#LinkURLWe don't actually know what his BAC was.Peter Burns @PeterBurnsRadio 2h Justin Blackmon arrested last night for "Aggravated DUI", which is over .15. Well that makes more sense. Have they reported a BAL from the pullover?ESPN is reporting that he was pulled over at 3am.
What's going on is the guy has two DUIs at age 22 and neither one was by a small margin. doesn't being out at 3 am mean he has sleep issues too? that could be a huge problem, huh carl!Well that makes more sense. Have they reported a BAL from the pullover?ESPN is reporting that he was pulled over at 3am.
the OP was basically saying blackmon is an alcoholic. don't you think that's a bit far fetched without knowing the situation?honestly, i don't like blackmon and i have said why in other threads about how he plays the game... but this is getting pretty ridiculous. all we know is he's gotten pulled over 2 times driving intoxicated... i just think we should hold back on naming him the league drunk until we know a bit more. What's going on is the guy has two DUIs at age 22 and neither one was by a small margin. A DUI is never a good thing, no one is suggesting otherwise. I made the point that perhaps we'll find out that Blackmon's DUI is the result of hard partying the night before, and the DUI at ~ 9am is the result of alcohol lingering in his system from the night before. You countered by saying that would be of MORE concern, obviously implying that it would be less concerning had Blackmon woke up Sunday AM and got wasted prior to driving at 9am. Personally, I'd be more concerned about the latter. 21-22 yr olds often binge drink on Saturday nights and have alcohol lingering in their system early the next AM. Waking up sober and getting hammered before 9am on Sunday signifies a bigger problem, IMO.My point exactly! Neither situation spells good things for Blackmon. If he was drinking this AM and drove with a BAL of > 0.15, my question would be "what the %*#@* is he doing drinking that much by 10 AM?!!". He's not under contract so I doubt that's going to happen. So is he going to be looking at a multiple game suspension out of this?
good question - it's the first NFL offense and he's not even under contract yet. dunno how roger will handle this...So is he going to be looking at a multiple game suspension out of this?
Covered Persons: This policy applies to all players under contract; all coaches; all game officials; all full-time employees of the NFL, NFL clubs, and all NFL-related entities; all rookie players once they are selected in the NFL college draft; and all undrafted rookie players, unsigned veterans who were under contract in the prior League Year, and other prospective employees once they commence negotiations with a club concerning employment. Clubs are strongly encouraged to communicate this policy to independent contractors and consultants and to make clear that violations of this policy will be grounds for terminating a business relationship.
like the positive outlook here.Well, it could have been a lot worse. At least, he didn't drive 100 Mph eluding police with an open bottle and no insurance. And he did have enough common sense to not smile about it later in his police mugg shot.
