Kalimba Edwards Released (1 Viewer)

I'm tempted to say that the Lions will draft a replacement, but I'm also tempted to say that they'll be drafting a replacement RB, RT, DT, CB, SS, FS, MLB, and SLB.

Given the number of holes and their lack of quality DEs, I wonder if we'll see IAF starting earlier than we expected.

Does this mean they see Ikaika Alama-Francis as their future at LDE?

It's earlier been reported they were moving Dewayne White to the right side.

:lmao:

Yes. One side or the other.

Seems like Marinelli has taken a different approach than lots of other coaches. He gave a lot of incumbents a shot to impress despite the fact they didn't do much for the previous regime. Now two years later he's realized he should've cut bait a lot sooner. I hope it doesn't cost the guy his job but it sure does seem like the Lions have done some major housecleaning this season.

If Kalimba winds up in Cleveland, he may be one of those 3-4 LBs that gets listed at DE, providing value.
Browns | Team may be interested in EdwardsSun, 16 Mar 2008 17:03:56 -0700Tony Grossi, of the Cleveland Plain Dealer, reports the Cleveland Browns may be interested in signing unrestricted free-agent DE Kalimba Edwards (Lions).

He might, he'll be lining up at end from time to time the question will be is it enough of the time for MFL to change his playing position. I don't know. Seems like Cleveland's either going to sign Edwards or Haggans by the end of the week.

I think it all depends what position the Browns would list him at.

He'll be in a rotation and primarily play on passing downs, he's not going to be an asset on run defense.

Heard John Clayton on the radio say that Edwards will start at DE over Jay Richardson. Tommy Kelly is being moved inside to DT. I guess he could have good sleeper value if people think he isnt going to start.
