I'm tempted to say that the Lions will draft a replacement, but I'm also tempted to say that they'll be drafting a replacement RB, RT, DT, CB, SS, FS, MLB, and SLB.

Given the number of holes and their lack of quality DEs, I wonder if we'll see IAF starting earlier than we expected.

Seems like Marinelli has taken a different approach than lots of other coaches. He gave a lot of incumbents a shot to impress despite the fact they didn't do much for the previous regime. Now two years later he's realized he should've cut bait a lot sooner. I hope it doesn't cost the guy his job but it sure does seem like the Lions have done some major housecleaning this season.

Alama-Francis has the inside track on the left DE job barring a major acquisition, but Marinelli will make him earn it.

I really don't know how it'll shake out, but I would guess the most likely scenario is some sort of platoon with Jay Richardson, who the Raiders definitely like. He might just be a wave player.

Heard John Clayton on the radio say that Edwards will start at DE over Jay Richardson. Tommy Kelly is being moved inside to DT. I guess he could have good sleeper value if people think he isnt going to start.
