Well doesn't Yahoo have D and LB designations? I'm not sure I'd advise taking him because he may struggle and leave the team next year. It's been hard to gauge him at OTA's and he hasn't been willing to talk to the press.Yahoo has Kampman listed as both a LB and a DE. Obviously in a shallow league Kampman doens't hold a whole lot of value at LB, but where would he rank as a DE especially with GB's new defensive scheme? I know that both Suggs and J Smith benfit from this.
really hope he gets the Justin Smith treatment from MFLActually Yahoo has become very IDP friendly this year and they have added DT, DE, DL (DE/DT), LB, S, CB and DB (CB/S) postions.
Agreed. DL studs are very hard to replace. At the very least they should have a TBD designation, for players like Kampman. People will draft him as a DE up untill the August update, and then poof, out of the blue he changes position shortly before the start of the season. I've been burnt by this myself in the past, its the one thing I don't like about having IDPs. Its esp tricky in leagues like mine where scoring is position specific. But I don't have a better alternative, except for the TBD designation, since we also want the player positions to reflect reality.KellysHeroes said:really hope he gets the Justin Smith treatment from MFLActually Yahoo has become very IDP friendly this year and they have added DT, DE, DL (DE/DT), LB, S, CB and DB (CB/S) postions.
It doesn't look good for those of us in dynasty leagues who had Kampman as their DL1 (like me).![]()
No kidding. Talk about a nose dive in value. I'm wondering if he's worth keeping at his new position.
From what I can tell, Kampman signed a four-year deal in March 2006, which will be up after this season. He may end up being traded, in which case he'd have a good chance to go back to being a 4-3 DE. Maybe if you had the space for a year it may be worth it....but that depends on roster sizes and whether or not you want to gamble on all of that happening.PewterFan said:No kidding. His contract is up at end of this season, you are correct. So in a dynasty/keeper league, he's worth rostering as a guy with potential upside in 2010.From what I can tell, Kampman signed a four-year deal in March 2006, which will be up after this season. Kampman is listed at LB in the depth charts (Rotoworld) that MFL uses to generate their player positions. The changes won't be made official until midway through the preseason. There are a number of IDP league commissioners in the Forum. If your commish doesn't post the list of changes, someone will have it posted here almost immediately after it's emailed out.Any updates on how MFL will handle Kampman? He is currently still listed as DL, and Suggs has stayed at DL despite playing hybrid.
Yeah MFL uses Rotoworld's depth charts. DEKampman is listed at LB in the depth charts (Rotoworld) that MFL uses to generate their player positions.
