Kansas City Chiefs (1 Viewer)

Hey buddy I think you have problems throwing stones at a team who just almost won in DEN......a loss is a loss but to go to DEN with a backup QB and lose on a coin toss in OT....not bad and it bodes well for the rest of teh seaosn.

Try again pal.

Yeah, it's pretty safe to say that Den has problems too. They have looked awful 2 weeks in a row. I wouldn't feel to great about giving them a game right now. Somebody HAD to win this.

0-2. 6 pts scored today. Not good.

There are no moral victories in the NFL. The Chiefs are 0-2. I love it. :)

Jake Plummer seems to be doing everything in his power to loose games not only for Den, but my fantasy team as well. :bag:

Okay, I think Plummer hit his ceiling last season, and, no, he hasn't played very well the first two weeks, but his offensive line was horrendous last week, and the entire offense was out of synch for most of today, not just Plummer. As usual, the QB will catch the brunt of the criticism for a lagging offense, but anyone who thinks putting Cutler in for Plummer will solve everything, is clueless.

anyone wanna give me $50 when KC is at WORST 9-7....if I were to listen to the great Dickey Moe the Chiefs would be going 3-13 and we would all be jumping off bridges here in KC.

Dickey let me take $50 from you....I am beggin' ya buddy---in your pompousness and all, be a man and take the bet........

The D looked great.

Get Green back under center, prep for SF and ARI after the bye week and work on your sore spots... This team could be okay the rest of the way.

I HATE the foq'n Chiefs (Raider Homer)

The D looked great.
The Rams defense also looked amazing last week against the Broncos. Let's face it, the Broncos offense looks terrible right now, so I am not about to give too much credit to any defense that shuts them down right now.

I think most Chiefs fans realized there was a very high chance that they'd start 0-2 the minute they saw the schedule, even if we had last years team totally in tact. I'm not sure why it's really suprising.

Im not saying it is surprising....I am defending the CHiefs because people like to base a season off of 2 weeks. If you listen to braniacs like Dickey Moe or Chost Rider, KC should be grateful to win a game this season.

The Herminator strikes. The destroyer of offense. :lmao:

Have never owned an offesive player on a Herminator team...Never will either.

I'd slow down on the wagering until you knew for sure when Trent Green was coming back. 9-7 is a stretch for this team right now IMO

Agreed. We've played Cincy (arguably the best team in the league) and went into Denver, a tough place for anyone to win.

Hmmm, where did anyone say that? I fully expected the Chiefs to win 7-9 games this season, but when looking at their schedule before the season started, today was not a game I thought they would win. I doubt anyone is basing the entire season off of two weeks, but digging out of an 0-2 hole is always very difficult, especially when the 2-0 Chargers have looked so good, and the 1-1 Broncos are bound to start playing better.

Ashcroft,What does my position that the Chiefs problems have anything to do with me being pompous? Seriously?

The Herminator strikes. The destroyer of offense. :lmao:
Idiotic. No Willie Roaf, no Trent Green, a mediocre Will Shields... that destroys offense.
Have never owned an offesive player on a Herminator team...Never will either.
More fool you. Larry Johnson is on pace for 2400 all-purpose yards, and you know the touchdowns are coming with creampuffs on the horizon in weeks 4 and 5.

Seriously though, is this how staff acts around here now-a-days???

No actually having watch Herm Edwards the last few years with the Jets the KC offense is going to have a long year. LJ will get his yards and scores like Martin was able to when he was healthy with the Jets but the rest of the offense will suffer the whole year. The play calling will be so brutal some weeks you will be shocked.

Herm's not calling the plays. Blame solari(sp?)

Herm was not calling the plays in NY either but it was brutally conservative. It appears pretty much the same thing here.

Maybe we are thinking about different Chiefs teams or something but the ones from Kansas City are certainly not finishing 9-7.

KC fans must be drinking the Herman Kool-Aid. They're almost making as many excuses as the coach. KC's offense looked bad before Trent Green went down, but it's an excuse. Herm will sack Solari at the end of the season and without a doubt blame the season on injuries and untimely retirements.

As Coach BP would say, "you're as good as your record".

So, what is the latest on WHEN Green will return?

I thought it was supposed to be around Week 4.
OK - I read something about being out 4-6 weeks and wondered if anyone closer to the situation has heard anything different.

The best QB who suited up for that game yesterday may not have played.

Concussions are impossible to predict for a return. It's not something where you can just look at an MRI and say...hey, it looks better. From everything I've heard, he won't play before week 6, regardless of anything else. For a concussion that was as severe as it was, they like to give the player at least a month off these days.

I'm in KC too (though not a fan) and I have them going 8-8 with 9-7 being the upside and 7-9 being the low.So far I'm batting 1.000 on my predictions on them this year. Here's how I have the rest of the season playing out:home against SF - winat Arizona - winat Pitt - losshome against SD - win (I'm starting to wonder about this one)home against SEA - loss (these last two might flip flop)at St. Louis - winat Miami - loss (KC hasn't played well in Florida...though Miami has looked horrid so far)home against OAK - win...duh.home against DEN - loss (after watching Denver's first 2 games this could very easily go to KC with homefield advantage)at CLE - winhome against BAL - win (second guessing myself after the first 2 weeks...Baltimore has looked solid)at SD - lossat OAK - winhome against JAX - loss (something about those Florida teams)So my preseason predictions have been dead on these first 2 weeks. The rest of the year could be a toss up until we see which teams turn things around. What I've seen is that all Chiefs fans wear blinders and overrate their team which has made me lots of money taking bets with Chiefs fans.

Not all. Take a gander at ChiefsPlanet.com, the most active Chiefs' forum on the net, and tell me that all Chiefs fans wear blinders. There are a HELL of a lot more objective (often pessimistic) Chiefs fans on there than i've seen at the OrangeMane.com, RaiderFans.net, and so forth.
