KC DST. Startable? (1 Viewer)

It's nice sometimes to grab a D that had an early bye and not have to worry about covering later. I would think that others might like to employ this same strategy if you're in leagues with short benches.

KC hasn't given up many points so far and has some guys on D and in the return game who can score. So is the D for real, or have they just not played very good offenses so far and gotten fortunate to catch SD on a sloppy field?

I would say no this week but definitely going forward. They have great Kick returners for leagues that allow points for that and the defense has been stingy so far.

The potential for return TD's alone makes them worth a start, plus Manning will be throwing over 45 times so INT's are on the table.

Start them!

If you have a league that penalizes for yards and points against though, not a good play.

I'm stuck with them this week because they're the only D on that roster and I can't afford to drop anything I have right now, pretty happy with the current roster.. So, I'll tough it out. That being said, they are playing some amassing def this year and have some really nice match up the following weeks. I expect top 5-3 #'s at the end of the year if they continue to play the way they have so far.. Definitely a starting DEF in any size league.

probably not this week or next but after that the schedule looks pretty good....

defense has definately improved and they may have the best special teams in the league....if the offense continues to improve/convert on third down and can stay on the field that will help as well......they like to run the ball....I know the conditions were bad, but Rivers has torn them apart in the past and I think KC showed some toughness that night....Romeo has been a huge pick up for this team and I could see this defense being productive the rest of the year....next two weeks scare me a little tho.....in a couple of leagues I am rolling with them and DET....can't believe I just typed that, but DET d line is pretty legit.....

Pretty much rostered in every league I am in. I had to drop Chiefs for Tate but I'm regretting it already as they were immediately snatched up. Was a sleeper coming into this season with all the upgrades they had. Great for a DBBC after you weather the next two weeks.

Playing Giants @HOU over them this week and hoping they can recreate some of the mojo they got going against Chicago.

I've seen each of their games so far, and FWIW, I thnik their defense is the real deal instead of a team that just got some lucky breaks. I don't know if I would be eager to start any defense against the colts, but I really think KC has one of the better defenses in the NFL this season.

Im playing the Bears vs Clausen this week instead but Im loving the potential of the Chiefs D/ST...was very surprised I wasnt outbid for them when I went for them.

Well, no Collie, no Brown, and maybe no Garcon? How hard will it be to take Wayne and Clark out of the game and make the Colts run at them?

Cliff you and I could probably line up and each go 5-75-1 with Manning throwing the ball.....it doesn't really matter who they trot out there.....we would be the hot WW pick ups for week 6..........

Dude I don't even think I could run from one end of a football field to the other without hyperventilating...But you're probably right on this one.
