Keeper Deadline Approaching: Who to Cut? (1 Viewer)

This is a dynasty league. I took over this team late last season. It's a 12 team H2H league with standard 5x5 cats.

I have 26 players on my MLB roster. The limit is 23. So I need to cut 3 players before the deadline (tomorrow night). I haven't been able to make up my mind.

Any help would be appreciated.

Boesch and Jaso for sure. You have way too many outfielders and don't need a backup C in a league that shallow. I'd cut one of your CI's for the other spot, whichever of Freese/Smoak you like less.

Right now I'm thinking: Murphy, Jaso, and Leake/Cecil

I wouldn't drop Leake.

Probaby go Jaso for sure...Murphy and Boesch. Not sure of Bosh's playing time this year though.

I just looked this up. It appears he'll likely be a backup to open the season.That being the case I think I'll go with you and cut Jaso, Murphy and Boesch.

I agree you are carrying to many OFs and in such a shallow league no need for the second catcher. If you have daily roster changes I would keep all your pitchers so you can stream and play match ups. I would cut Freese as your third. The drop off between Longoria and Freese is so great I would imagine you can do almost as good as your waivers (assuming you have IR slots during the season). Instead of Freese Boesch is possible as he isn't starting yet and will have limited playing time this year.

No need to be keeping Yadier and Jaso in a one catcher league, you'll be able to get them or some other schmo who puts up similar numbers in the draft. After that you definitely need to shed an OF, Boesch is on the short end of the stick. He doesn't have much upside or a starting position - something everyone else on your roster has.
