Keep one at the round drafted last year

10 tm PPR

Breece Hall 4th
Jonathon Taylor 9th
Puka Nacua 12th

If you have any rationale I appreciate it.

Thanks!

Everyone is going to say Hall and Hall in the 4th isn't bad at all.
My gut instincts told me Hall too. But some people said Nacua based on how late I could keep him. Not many people say Taylor but if choose him then I could draft 3 receivers in Rds 1-3 and another back in the 4th.

ok *most people will tell you Hall

Puka only scored 8 more points than Hall last year. I'm not exactly current with the rumor mill but I think the expectations are that Puka will regress in Staffords age 36 season and/or face more competition for targets as where the expectations are that a healthy Rodgers improves the Jets O and he (Hall) surpasses 290. I think both are going in the first round with the later going early. While I can understand the logic of keeping Puka and having a 4th it might be possible to keep Hall and then draft Puka mid/late depending on your pick and how the draft goes.

Keep the best player in a keep one league. It's one between Hall and Taylor for me bit I keep Hall.
But am I gaining that much by keeping Hall over Taylor? Drafting wise that 4th round pick could be valuable.
In a keep one player I keep the best player regardless of round (the exception being a 1st rounder where you may have a little more flexibility by not freezing that player based on draft slot). If you think Taylor will be better than Hall. Keep him. If you think Hall will be better keep him. The "value" is really neglible when you are talking about one player. It's more important to make sure you keep the right guy than try and mine value.

That being said, this is an extremely close call for me. I would have no objection to keeping Taylor over Hall as I see a world where he outproduces Hall. I also believe Taylor may be a bit safer (still working on researching players at this time). Really it's a coin toss between the two for me and if the round difference swings it because it's that close than keep Taylor. I don't think there is a bad choice between the two.

Thank you very much for laying it out. I agree that opportunity and talent will keep Hall and Taylor close when thinking potential. And I think I’ll use the round kept to be that tiebreaker towards Taylor leaving me with more latitude in those first 4 rounds.

Here's how I would look at it.

Breece Hall 4th - Hall, McKonkey/Lockett, Ford/Samual
Jonathon Taylor 9th - Taylor, Jacobs/Mixon, Ford/Samual
Puka Nacua 12th - Nuka, Jacobs/Mixon, McKonkey/Lockett

FBG has Hall 6th, Nuka 9th, Taylor 14th
