Keeper League Draft Situation (1 Viewer)

Thank you in advance for any input, and happy to help address questions you may have.

For a 12-team, 4-keeper league (1 QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, 1 TE, 1 RB/WR/TE, 1 K, 1 D), 17 roster spots, .5 PPR, my four keepers are likely to be:

-Devonta Freeman (13th round)
-CJ Anderson (15th round)
-Donte Moncrief (16th round)
-Hunter Henry (17th round)

My draft position is 5th.  When keepers are eliminated, the top eight in the draft will be:

1. Le'Veon Bell
2. Ezekiel Elliott
3. Antonio Brown
4. Julio Jones
5. LeSean McCoy
---
6. Melvin Gordon
7. A.J. Green
8. Dez Bryant

I would be completely fine with taking McCoy and solidifying my RB position.  However, the team drafting third will likely have 3 WR keepers and 1 QB keeper, so assuming Bell and Elliott are gone, I could see that person reaching to take McCoy.  If that scenario plays out, would you consider taking Julio even though I already have Devonta, or would you dip deeper to diversify?  Passing on Julio seems like a major stretch if he's available...

I'd hope that owner takes McCoy, and leaves you with Julio. You need WR a lot more than RB anyway. Zero concern about having Freeman and Julio, if anything it makes your team more consistent. Diversification is pointless at that point, always take best player available at that level. Maybe(and even then it wouldn't bother me) that would come into play if/when Matt Ryan came up, but certainly not with Julio.

I would rather have Julio over McCoy in pretty much any circumstance, including your league setup.

I think that is a no brainer wish.  Julio is much better than McCoy and will be for longer.  I never worry about having a RB/WR from a quality offense.  In fact, I kind of like it because you are covered almost no matter how they score.  I would thank my lucky stars if that came to fruition and you could get Julio.

You take the best player available at 5.  If it's Julio, then do a happy dance!
