I inherited a team with A-Rod and Braun as my obvious 2 position keepers and AJ Burnett, CM Wang and J Borowski as my possible 1 pitcher keeper.

The offers are rolling in for A-Rod

Rollins and Lackey

or

Utley and Halladay

or

Fielder and Hamels

Should I pull the trigger on one of these to give me a legit pitching keeper and 2 solid position guys or ride it out with A-Rod and Braun (LF) this season.

League is a fairly standard H2H scoring league.

why not jusy hang onto him unless your getting santana + someone else, or peavy + someone else...

why not jusy hang onto him unless your getting santana + someone else, or peavy + someone else...

Peavy has been offered but with McCann or Wells. I could try asking for more...

Boil this down to basics:

1) Your keepers now = ARod, Braun and Burnett

2) Your keepers with trade = Braun, Utely and Burnett (or any combo from those trades)

Result = the trade is a LOSER

The low number of keepers means you would be crazy to trade ARod unless you got something like Utley and Peavy, IOW you would have to substantially improve the pitching keeper (I would only do if for Santana, Peavy...maybe Webb) AND another solid "first round" hitter

I like Fiedler, Hamels and Braun myself. I think if you can draft well you would be better off keeping A-rod, and having wang as your pitcher.

I would think halladay when healthy would be a top line keeper, or am I overestimating him?A-Rod, Braun, Burnett or Wang versus Utley, Braun and halladay?

put out some feelers for braun.... tell them of the comparisons to pujols' rookie season. santana for braun?

Update...

I haven't pulled the trigger on anyone yet and seemingly am hesitant to do so. No real interest in Braun currently for much...

I've been offered Haren and Rollins or Papelbon and Rollins for A-Rod. I like getting a better pitcher than Wang but with the tweaks in our scoring system, Wang is more valuable as the point system includes points for innings. he should get me over 200 innings and close to 20 wins so I could deal with Wang.

Also been offered Halladay, Zambrano, Utley and Pujols for Braun and A-Rod.
