So I'm in a 10-team keeper league. I won the title last year and am absolutely torn on who to keep this year. Can keep 3 hitters, 3 pitchers, and 3 that can be hitter or pitcher.
My dilemma? 5 of my 6 keeper hitters are outfielders. I'm really caught up on that and am considering making a potentially boneheaded move just to give myself more roster flexibility.
My stone cold locks at hitter: Soto, Julio Rod, and Chourio.
Now here's the dilemma, can only keep 3 of these 4: Yordan Alvarez, Lindor, Jackson Merrill, and Junior Caminero.
The obvious move is to throw Caminero back, and I'm sure that will be the common opinion. But I always go with my gut and my gut on the kid is that he's going to bat .270 with 30 bombs as soon as this year, with plenty of counting stats batting in the meat of that lineup. And he's all of 21 years old. Yordan is arguably my most reliable hitter and is a stone cold lock to have an OPS at or above 950 (my league uses R, HR, RBI, SB, AVG, and OPS), but I'm honestly considering throwing him back due to my overload at OF and him being the oldest. Call me crazy and insane. I know I am. If you're me, are you just biting the bullet and keeping 5 OF?
It's easy to think, "just trade an OF or two," but my league is honestly a pain to trade with and I'd be taking a loss likely if I were to trade one of them, so I likely will not mess with that.
