We're starting up a keeper league this year and it's a PPR league. I'm in a spot where I could look at doubling up on WRs at the end of round 2 and start of round 3. I've also thought about taking a RB as well in Round 2, but we'll see who drops to me. In any event, I'm having a difficult time ranking the following 4 WRs. I expect Wayne, Owens and Moss to be off the board, and potentially 2 of these.
Larry Fitzgerald
Positives: Freak of nature athletically, relatively young. Plays on a team that is generally not that good and will be throwing a lot as they will be behind in a lot of games. With Kurt Warner behind center, was a monster. Great redzone target, and has high reception and yardage numbers.
Negatives: Matt Leinart could start and who knows how he pans out. Coaching staff wants to try to run the ball more. Anquan Boldin healthy could eat into numbers.
Andre Johnson
Positives: Like Fitzgerald, freak of nature athletically. High reception totals and yardage number. Unquestioned number 1 offensive option. Houston, like Arizona will need to throw a lot in games.
Negatives: Injury history. Enough said here. Also, Matt Schaub is a bit of a ?, but having Rosenfels helps appease some of this concern.
Braylon Edwards
Positives: TD machine. Another freak of nature athletically. One on one, there may be no tougher cover as a DB aside from Moss. Cleveland offence is looking good and he is the number 1 option in the air.
Negatives: Faces tough sched this year. Had the ACL injury a couple years back? What happens is Derek Anderson's season last year was a fluke? What would Edwards be like with Quinn behind center? Doesn't have the high reception totals like the others listed here.
Marques Colston
Positives: Another freak of nature here, great hands. Plays with the best QB of all these WRs. Pass happy coach and pass first offence. Jeremy Shockey's presence may give him a little more space this year. Great reception and yardage numbers.
Negatives: With Shcokey around, could TD numbers go down? Seems to be battling a knee issue, is he injury prone?
How would you go about ranking these 4 in a keeper league?
Other WRs I will consider at these picks are Steve Smith, TJ Housh, and 85, so feel free to include them in your rankings as well.
