Keeper question for two leagues (1 Viewer)

First League is a full point PPR keeper league where we can keep up to three players that cost 2 rounds better then where they were drafted and free agents can be kept for an 11th round pick.  Starting requirements are 1-QB, 2-RB, 2-WR, 1-Flex (TE, WR, RB), 1-TE, 1-DEF and a kicker.  I am picking 9th in a serpentine draft.

My choices are;

N. Chubb for my 7th round pick, J. Smith-Schuster for my 1st round pick, Z. Ertz for my 6th round, O. Beckham for my 3rd round (have had him since his rookie year),  C. Samuel for my 11th round, G. Allison for my 11th round and K. Johnson for my 3rd round.  At this point I am leaning towards keeping O. Beckham (3rd rd),  Z. Ertz (6th rd) and N. Chubb (7th rd).  It costs us two rounds to keep someone from one year to the next so Beckham cost me my 5th rd last year and so his cost is 3rd rd this year and so on and we cannot keep anyone drafted in the first two rounds.

Second league is Non PPR standard scoring and we have to keep two players who cannot be of the same position.  Starting requirements are1-QB, 2-RB, 2-WR, 1-Flex (TE,WR,RB), 1-TE, 1-Def and a kicker and I am picking 8th in a serpentine draft (reverse order of where we finished last year).

My choices are;

K. Allen for 2nd rd, C. Sutton for 15th rd, C. Ridley for 10th rd, L. murray for 13th rd and H. Henry for 8th rd.  In this league I am leaning towards H. Henry (8th rd) and C. Ridley (10th rd).  I am still thinking of K. Allen for my 2nd rd and I liked Sutton for his 15th rd cost but not sure if he would be a better choice then Ridley.  Keepers cost us one round to keep from one year to the next so last year I had K. Allen for my 3rd and this year he would cost me my 2nd and we cannot keep anyone drafted in the first two rounds.

Thank you for any and all help, it is much appreciated.

I agree with your first league assessment: Chubb, OBJ, and Ertz. To be fair, I'm a big "draft a top tier TE early" player so I definitely aim for Kelce/Kittle/Ertz in my drafts and at the cost I think it's more no-brainer. You can get Johnson back in the 2nd or 3rd if you value him enough without losing someone like Ertz to keep Johnson.

In your second league I'd definitely choose Ridley over Allen because of the cost. I would probably agree with Henry but speaks more to not trusting Murray vs. being thrilled about Henry to be honest.What confuses me is you saying they cannot be the same position and suggesting you could keep Allen + Sutton. If you can keep two WR, keep Ridley and Allen by classifying one as flex.

Would appreciate thoughts on mine: https://forums.footballguys.com/forum/topic/777626-keeper-startup-who-to-draft-next/

Thank you for your response.  You are correct and I cannot keep two WR's, I just worded that weird.  In the first league I had Ertz as a keeper last year also as I also appreciate a top tier TE.  In the second league I am also not sure of Murray and but really didn't have anyone else worth a #### to keep, I would lose value on the rest of them lol.  Thanks again for your help and I will definitely take a look at your thread.

I agree with your choices for league 1 but not for league 2.  For that one I would keep Murray and Ridley.  Allen takes a hit being non-PPR.  I don't Henry is much of a value in that round and I believe in Murray.  He was good in Minnesota and fits perfectly as an Ingram replacement.  He will be fine.

Agree on Beckham, Chubb, and Ertz.

I'd keep Henry and Ridley in the other league. I'm a big Henry believer though.

Thank you both for your responses.  I have another three weeks before I have to submit my keepers in league two so I will see how things go and the news that comes out.

bump only because I would like to hear what others are thinking as I appreciate the replies so far.
