Kendall Wright and Michael Floyd (1 Viewer)

While a certain WR is getting arrested in his first off-season, the other two highly touted WRs are getting high praise.

Kendall Wright:

According to the Nashville Tennessean's Jim Wyatt, no player has stuck out more than Kendall Wright during Titans offseason practices.

Matt Hasselbeck says first-round pick Kendall Wright has been "as advertised" in Titans OTAs.

"He’s explosive. He’s a great kid, he’s a competitor," Hasselbeck said. "He’s not a big guy, but he’s been fun to have around. (He's) had great practices so far."

Michael Floyd:

Coach Ken Whisenhunt had praise for Michael Floyd's work ethic after the Cardinals' minicamp.

Floyd has done nothing to discourage the Cardinals' staff since they took him No. 13 overall. "He's worked hard," Whisenhunt said. "That's one of the things we liked about him." Floyd is fully expected to start opposite Larry Fitzgerald come Week 1

I know it's OTA's but I love what I'm hearing about Wright and Floyd. I expect both to made a impact immediately and have fantasy value this season. What kind of numbers do you guys see?

let's temper our enthusiasm here a bit, these are just rookies after all..... i think the real value will be in the starting QB's on these teams. they go from afterthought to possible QB 1's in a 2 QB league. as of today my money is on Skelton & Locker.

I like this quote from Kendall the other day, downplaying the abuse he was doling out to the CB:

June 01, 2012 4:29 p.m. - by Matt Rybaltowski WR Kendall Wright beat CB Alterraun Verner on a double-move along the left sideline for a long completion on Friday. Several plays earlier, Wright made a catch on an out route past a sliding Verner. “It was just a little double move,” Wright said. “I'm just running the plays. I'm not trying to do anything spectacular to make anybody look bad.”

There aren't enough balls to go around in tennessee
Tennessee was 12th in passing last year with Britt hurt for most of the year, and will most likely better that ranking. I certainly believe there are enough balls to go around to have 3 receivers (2-3 WRs and 1 TE) be fantasy relevant (not all starters).

Yes, but how much of that high passing ranking was due to the ineffectiveness of Chris Johnson? More succinctly, were they passing out of desire or out of necessity. Another piece of news coming out of the Titans OTAs is the rededication of Johnson to offseason training. Despite the promising news about Wright, and the impending return of Britt, if Chris Johnson plays like a few years ago, I can only wonder how much throwing the Titans will be doing.
