Pray he doesn't get suspended, which is extremely likely to happen for 4 to 6 games, and once he returns and has a big game sell high immediately. He will burn you in the future. The guy has no respect for the game of football and will undoubtedly screw up somehow in the future.
You almost sound surprised with this news, did you think Britt was spending the offseason at church camp? Brandon Marshall was arrested many more times for worse crimes in the middle of an amazing 3 year run statistically. Why do you think this is going to hurt Britt?
Surprised? Not at all. I don't own Britt in any leagues because of his off the field issues. Every couple of years you can expect a suspension for something stupid he does. The talent is there but the intelligence is not. He averages something like 17 ppg but what good is that if he isn't on the field to get your team to the fantasy playoffs or there for you in the fantasy playoffs? You know what I hear every year? "Britt is young and hopefully he'll grow and mature into a responsible person". I heard that last year and then I just heard it again this time. surprise surprise...
He kind of sounds like Chris Henry to me. How did that turn out. I would not touch the guy
While there should certainly be some concern with the direction Britt is heading, we are getting ahead of ourselves with comparisons to Chris Henry.Britt's transgressions with the law so far:- unpaid parking tickets;- shoving match at a bar (no charges were filed;- "theft by deception" for allagedly promising to pay back a bail bondsmen for posting bail for a friend and failing to do so. This one seemed very fishy at the time and as far as I beleive the issue was never pressed further.- this one is by far the most egrecious, and while it's extremely poor judgment and foolish, it's far from a dispicable act.Go back and you'll see Chris Henry's list is far longer with much more "shady" activities.Once again, Britt is far from a model citizen so far and he's perhaps heading down the wrong path, but he still has some time to mature and turn things around and once again this is the only real transgression that raises a serious red flag as the rest are all common occurences in many of our lives (if you consider the bail issue, a flase claim by the bail bondsmen which seems to be likely).
