On the same day the troubled Tennessee Titans wide receiver pleaded guilty to misdemeanor charges related to an April 12 car chase, Britt was arrested by Hoboken, N.J., narcotics officers on Wednesday night and charged with two counts of resisting arrest, The Star Ledger reported, citing an official.
Britt was issued a summons and ordered to appear on the charges on June 16 in Jersey City, according to court papers.
Hoboken police refused to release any information on the charges, but the court complaint stated Britt "did purposely prevent or attempt to prevent a public servant from lawfully performing an official function by means of force or violence, specifically by refusing to open your hand when ordered to do so then pulling your hand away."
The Ledger reported that one count is a disorderly persons offense but the second is a third-degree crime, which carries a possible sentence of three to five years in prison upon conviction.
The Titans held players-only workout in Nashville on Wednesday, which Britt did not attend.
Both of Britt's offseason arrests have come in his home state of New Jersey. He first ran into trouble on April 12, when instead of pulling over his Porsche for a routine traffic stop in Bayonne, Britt sped up and began weaving in and out of highway traffic. He exited the highway and was later spotted on a local street with another passenger walking away from the vehicle, according to a police report.
Britt was arrested and charged with eluding a police officer, lying to an officer hindering apprehension and obstructing governmental function following a stop. Eluding an officer is a third-degree felony, while the other charges are misdemeanors. The charges were eventually downgraded, and he received a $472 fine following his Wednesday guilty plea.
Britt, the team's 2009 first-round pick, led the Titans in receiving yards (775) and touchdown receptions (nine) this past season.

Anyways, saw an interesting show about high school football last night (Frontline). In some ways it's surprising these things don't happen a lot more than they do. Well, actually they probably do but they're given every break and protected as much as possible. It's an inevitable result of the big business that is football: basically clueless, unformed, immature kids riding around in Porsches with 100K in jewelry on them. It's OK as long as they can go up and get that pigskin!
usually the reason you keep going is so that you can ditch the drugs....these guys didn't even do that right....fanatsy-wise this shouldn't be too much of a hit to most teams....if you were counting on Britt as a major piece of your WR puzzle, you might have been in a little trouble anyway....I see some of the things other people see and can see how some may think he was ready to turn the corner as a #1 WR but last year 1/3rd of his TD's came in one game, and almost 1/3rd of his total yards came in that same game (Eagles)....he is not a WR1 to bulid around IMO....
