Steelers RB Willie Parker carried the rushing load last season, but he wouldn't mind having someone in the backfield to help with some of the carries. "I think the two-back system will work very well here in Pittsburgh," said Parker, who indicated that sharing the load can help make his career last longer. That help could come from veteran RBs Najeh Davenport and/or Kevan Barlow. "Those guys are great running backs," said Parker. "I think those guys will bring great things to the offense."

The Pittsburgh Steelers announced that the team has re-signed veteran running back Verron Haynes Monday. Haynes will join Najeh Davenport and Kevan Barlow in vying for playing time behind Pro Bowl running back Willie Parker.

He's on the Steelers right now, but I'm not sure I see him sticking. My guess is that the loser of he, Davenport, and Haynes ends up with Tennessee, Baltimore, Tampa, etc....

I did the same thing after he helped me the year before win a championship with his 4-5 games stretch at the end of the season.
