Kevin Jones released, WOW! (1 Viewer)

Teams might be waiting to see if Deuce McAllister, Shaun Alexander or Lamont Jordan will be available come June 1st. KJ may have to lower his price if that happens.
...and you would take one of these guys before KJ?
On a one year deal, no question about it. I have to be realistic. Most players take two years to recover fully from an ACL.
Funny how Ronnie Brown seems to get a free pass on injuries :lmao:

I don't know that KJ was ever fully recovered from the Lis Franc injury the previous season. I seem to remember some stories about his foot still bothering him after he started playing again last season. When he injured his knee then, the foot became an afterthought.

Jones not 100% but ready for 20-25 carries

10/19/2007 8:45:59 AM

Jones, who said he won't be 100 percent this season, feels healthy enough to carry 20-25 times if asked. "I don't have any big thoughts on it," said Jones, who injured his left foot in 2006. "I just want to go out there and carry the load and play." The Lions have limited his reps, but coach Rod Marinelli said this week Jones would start in place of Tatum Bell. Source: detnews.com

Marinelli: Kevin Jones will start

10/17/2007 2:20:13 PM

Lions head coach Rod Marinelli said after Wednesday's practice that Kevin Jones has been looking very strong in practice and that he's expected to start Sunday against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Marinelli said the Lions will continue to monitor his recovery from Lisfranc surgery but that Jones is expected to get the bulk of the workload in the running game. Tatum Bell will be the backup and will spell Jones from time to time, but barring any health issues with Jones, it's not expected to be a 50-50 split or close to it. Source: mlive.com

Lions' Jones will play behind Tatum Bell

10/7/2007 8:43:19 AM

Detroit RB Kevin Jones (foot) will play, but he is experiencing more soreness and will play behind Tatum Bell. The Lions want to be careful with Jones, believing that he may need more rest. There is no doubt that Detroit offensive coordinator Mike Martz is hoping that if the Lions can have some success this season it will create some opportunities for him to become a head coach again. I was having a good morning until I read this and realized I have all four of these players on my team. That is really pathetic.

Speaking of pathetic, I have a dynasty team with Caddy, KJ and Ronnie Brown. I'm praying my team makes a comeback in 2010.

I have Michael Turner, Julius Jones, Deuce, Shaun Alexander, Michael Bush, and Kevin Jones. I'm trying to decide if any of the guys besides Turner or Jones are worth keeping. After dominating my league for several years I guess you can tell by my RB's that I took a hard fall last year.

I think Deuce and Sa are effectively done. They may contribute as a backup but I don't see either one being relied on for signficant carries that will make a fantasy impact.I DO like M. Bush and KJ better than JJ because I think they have more upside. All of this talk about JJ will die down when Seattle drafts a first day RB in the draft. He already has competition from Duckett and the value of their contracts is almost the same, so there is no guarantee he even beats out Duckett. I would try to trade JJ while his value is as high as it will be.

What if Seattle doesn't take a first-day RB? What would JJ's value be if he becomes 'the guy' in SEA?
