Smooth stoke. Started right. Stayed right. Off post.
Yes he was roughed during a FG, he was unable to kick on the sideline. Why did he attempt the PAT? Hanson injured?
Someone is going to lose their game because of this. FF is a strange game.Wes Welker just kicked an extra point.
That'd be the 2nd PAT of his career.Wes Welker just kicked an extra point.
there's a reason Suh was drafted #2 overall.Get this guy asap.
I agree with this unless you really felt he had a good chance at making it. Keep in mind, the score was the Lions winning by 3 so getting that 1 point from the PAT was huge. The 2 point conversion really gave them no advntage whatsoever, so as a coach, you would have to believe your offense has a better chance of scoring a 2 point conversion against the Jets D than Suh hitting the extra point.I'm not saying what's right or wrong, just spelling it out as the extra point you get from the 2 was worthless. The Lions just weren't meant to win the game. They totally had that game won, even without Hanson getting hurt. Stafford goes down with 5 minutes to play up by 10 and the Lions just fall apart. Big penalties, not being able to run when the game is on the line, in OT I was 99.9 percent sure the Jets would win that game. The Lions had a dinged kicker and a 3rd string QB in the game, freaken disaster.Calvin will definately take a hit with Stanton as the QB, he BLOWS!It seems unlikely that kicking the PAT makes sense when you don't have a kicker. Just go for 2.
That's just poor planning on the Lions part. Surely the Lions should have a better option than their rookie 310 pound stud DT. His technique looked sloppy. We also don't know - Suh may have been practicing all season as the emergency backup. Given that Hanson is like 80 years old (and was injured a bit in training camp) you gotta figure that he was the legitimate plan B.-QG

Hanson was roughed up in kickoff coverage a couple times last week as well. No excuse for not having an alternate prepped. That's just poor planning on the Lions part.
