Kids Bowl Free - No Brainer Summer Program (1 Viewer)

SIDA!

Apologies in advance if this is a Honda.

I wanted to bring your attention to one of the biggest no-brainers ever. It is called the "Kids Bowl Free" program.

I signed my family up last year and it is the real deal. Here is the scoop.

For the entire summer, you can take your kid(s) to a bowling alley near you and they can bowl two games per day for free. At my local bowling alley, I can literally take my kid every day of the week from open until 5 pm and he can bowl.

It gets even better. The family can pay a one-time $25 fee to cover the adults and they too can bowl two games a day for free. It isn't $25 each for mom and dad. It is $25 for all the adults. And it doesn't have to be just the parents. You can sign up a nanny, babysitter, grandparents, etc. There is a limit to how many adults you can sign up...but my point is, it can be any number of adult caregivers.

The big "gotcha" is essentially going to be the shoe rental. I took my son and we went to the local bowling store and bought a pair of shoes for each of us. They were about $40. But, they will pay for themselves if you plan on going frequently.

I ended up getting kind of hooked and bought my own ball, bag, etc and joined a league. My son enjoyed it as well.

If you haven't been to a bowling alley in a while you may not know that many of them have tons of promotions/specials, etc. Anyway, just thought I would pass it a long. Not a bad way to spend an hour or more (depending on the size of your group).

it is a good deal. I got my daughter shoes for like $25.

different places have different hours. some days, we could go until 9 or 10 at night.

Could a couple of families and kids sign up for this together, or do they require one for each family?

I know there were six spots to put the name for each kid when we signed up and I think four adult spots, if memory serves. But yeah, like I said before. It can be adults outside the family, like a babysitter or other familial caregivers like the mom in law.

So, I don't see any reason why your family and another family couldn't sign up for $25 or whatever unless one of the couples had an inordinate amount of kids. But then at worst, you are simply going to have to shell out $25 for each family, instead of $12.50.

EDIT TO ADD: You can sign up other kids as well. For example, if your son or daughter has a good friend that is always around you could sign that child up under your plan or simply sign them up on their own plan. There is no requirement that the adults sign up and pay the $25 in order for the kids to bowl free. So, if the friend's parents are unavailable to bowl with you guys but you are close and want to take the friend, the parents could simply sign up their kids on his/her own account, too.

But seriously, how can you not like bowling?

I worked at a bowling alley in high school for one day a week just so I could get my employee only $0.50 games.
