just a hunch but Warner is in line for a season ending injury. I know all of you that own Warner will jump down my throat for posting this thread, but the writing is on the wall. Paging Matt Leinart!!!

Here is the article from ROTOWORLD who got the info from ESPN.com

Kurt Warner-QB- Cardinals Sep. 16 - 3:17 pm et

According to ESPN's Mike Sando, Kurt Warner suffered a "stinger" injury in the Cardinals' Week 1 loss.

The stinger affected feeling in Warner's throwing arm. Perhaps this explains his reduced arm strength, but Warner hasn't looked right since the Super Bowl. He was a dump-off machine in the opener, completing 12 passes to Tim Hightower, but eight to Larry Fitzgerald and Anquan Boldin combined.

He was flexing the throwing hand a couple of times pretty hard during the game. The question isn't if he's inline for season ending injury, every QB is and it's unforeseeable, the question is, the stinger is here and known, how long does it take to recover from one?

the guy is always flexing something and walking like he's decrepit though. he hasn't exactly looked "spry" in years. i wish i had seen the game myself and make my own decision if he's toast or not.

So he played the first game of the season with his WR2 at less than full speed, his WR3 out, got a stinger that affected his throwing and still finished with 288 yards and a TD? I'll take it.

The purpose of this thread to alert footballguys.com players to snag Leinart off the Waiver Wire. Before the season he has hip surgery, now after the first game he has a throwing shoulder stinger? All aboard the Matt Leinart bandwagon!!!

He threw a couple lasers after the hand stinger issue, played the whole 2nd half with it- and got better towards the end. His "bad hip" looked fine when he rolled out and flipped the TD.

had nothing to do with the fact that he had about 1.5 seconds to get rid of the ball before being body slammed by a 49er defender? naaaaahhhhhhh........that couldn't be it.there was nothing wrong with his arm strenght. he didn't have any time.

There are so many threads that could be bumped the week/season after like this one. You lose count after awhile.

The OP believes Warner is "in line" for a season ending injury and the "writing's on the wall" :ptts:

My starting QB is/was McNabb. Where were you with your crystal ball when I drafted?

His hip hurt last season, and since the surgery it feels better than it did last year, so I don't see that as an issue.

I hope Warner is healthy enough to play the entire season, but I doubt he will. If I were a Warner owner there is no doubt I would pick up Leinart. For non Warner owners picking up Leinart could prove to be a major shark move.

The more immediate question is how long does it take to recover from a shoulder stinger? Anyone have any idea?
I am having a tough time remembering, but I also thought it was one of those things that can be fine, then get aggravated.
