L. Coles, whats his trade value? (1 Viewer)

I have Coles as my WR2 and am pleased with his production. I have a bye week conflict and may need to move him before week 10. He is not a very 'popular' player as he doesn't have many threads discussing him. Has anyone seen any trades with him involved. What can I expect to get for him?

I agree there really isn't to much on him. I have him and he is a sure 10-20 points per week. I would not let him go for anything less than say a guy like Edge or someone that will be a solid scorer for you.

Yea, he' solid but hard to gauge. What recievers would you be willing to trade him for?

his trade value is almost never as high as his production-value. good luck.

it gets even worse looking a "Q"s next to his name and with penington disintegrating in front of our eyes.

i would assume the savvy owners are trying to get him on the cheap right now (clemens must be on the way). not a good environment to deal him.

Yes, at first look, the "Q"s are a little concerning, but as often as he is listed on the injury report, he has yet to miss a game.

Coles is someone that is perennially (sp?) undervalued. He is not great, but is pretty solid with a couple really good games every year. A great #2 and decent #2 WR in most leagues.

However, you won't get more than 3rd WR value for him in all likelihood - I would keep Coles and try to trade someone that has more name power. You just won't get much of anything for Coles.

Thats just it, I'd like to keep him but I will be forced to play James Jones week 10, and as he's currently playing, I'd rather not if I can help it.

Traded Coles for Fitzgerald this week.

....Coles has been a regular on my fantasy roster for the last 4 seasons. He is a true warrior. I just thought Fitzgerald would post better numbers rest of the way. Had to shake up my 1-5 roster.

I kind of figured there weren't going to be many posts in this thread. Like I said, he's not a very popular topic for discussion even though he's a top 12 WR.

I wanted to make sure I drafted Coles this year no matter what. The consistant good production(except last week) is just to good to let go of. I view as top ten value because of that consistant good production. There are rarley blow up games from Coles and very few sub par. A great WR to match up with a Stud or even risky weekly starts like Gennings. Coles is a gold mind if you forfited top WR talent to cobble extra RB's or a top tier second string QB. No matter the match up I keep him started. I would trade Coles for Moss, Houz, Brylon Edwards, Plex and Wayne. Thats it, those are the only ones I would trade him for in a non PPR league, 1 point every 20yards and 6 for a TD. In a Dynasty its easy - Dwayne Bowe and Calvin Johnson.

Yes, he's usually undervalued (and under respected, it seems) in fantasy circles. He's a solid, if not unspectacular, WR2 who can gotten later in drafts after other "name" WR's have been picked. I recently saw a trade which involved him and LaMont Jordan for Marvin Harrison.

i agree. it just doesn't help his trade value.coles is the type of player that no one pays attention to him unless they own him. his owners know the "Q" isn't an issue, but most trade candidates likely do not.

I actually have both of those players and made that offer for Harrison afew weeks back, but the Harrison owner didn't bite. After today's 2TD performance, I'm wondering what his value is now. :)
