LaGarrette Blount will be goal line back (1 Viewer)

For those that frown on Blounts excited celebrations...I couldn't help but notice the way he celebrated every touch down he had in college with jumping around like a mad man. I don't think it is out of character, especially for a rookie scoring his first TD in the NFL. Hope the kid gets a head on his shoulders, he could be really good in this young up and coming Tampa offense.
What the hell are you guys talking about? I watched all of his play, incl the TD and he didn't even celebrate. I kept waiting for it and nothing. Where was the celebration? what did he do? If anything, i thought he could have celebrated more.
He didn't .... just a bunch of tight wad Pittsburgh cry baby fans. Blount is scum and Big Ben is the man :goodposting:

I am more expressive in my office after a big sale than Blount was after his first NFL touchdown.

:lmao:Same here, I'm more like Blount after his first 12 yd carry.

If this is what he brings to the table he's going to be a #1 RB going forward. With Freeman, Williams and Blount, the future looks bright for the Buccos. I like the fact that he punches people. He's fired up and he brings the same intensity to the field. He may be the key to many fantasy championships this year.

Dropping Fred Taylor for him.
wow...i'm thinking of doing the same thing. would rather have a guy with at least SOME upside than a guy that is slowly breaking down.
And if you lose out on him to another shark you're out of luck. I say make the move now and just hold him for a week without worry...that's what I did anyway. Picking him up doesn't affect my lineup at all and with the goal line back news out now, he won't last another week+ on the wire. 6-2 250lb RBs who can run don't grow on trees....
 I mean, we're likely talking about an RB5 spot at best right now. Those spots are basically marginal guys and lottery tickets anyway. Why not take a shot on a guy who could have the opportunity to get a larger and/or primary workload on a not terrible team?
exactly.

Does ANYONE feel like we're going to be sorry dropping Keiland for a guy like Blount? I'm tempted but definitely have reservations. At the same time, I'm not really into dealing with Shan-Anagins all season long...
Yes, the evil Mike Shanahan, crushing fantasy footballers wherever he can... I dropped Keiland Williams and Fred Taylor for the law firm and Blount. I know, I know, you can't predict Belichik either, but at least the options at RB are minimal in NE for the time being. I hope Blount works out, as I need a decent flex.

According to the St.Petersburg Times' Rick Stroud, Cadillac Williams will split carries with Kareem Huggins and LeGarrette Blount going forward.

Stroud basically reported as much a week ago, and coach Raheem Morris has confirmed that Caddy's workload will decrease. He has averaged just 2.5 YPC this season. Blount is the best sleeper of the group, as he should be the goal-line option. Huggins will see plenty of action on third down.

What does Blount's contract look like, is he able to move in the off season if he continues to impress the rest of this season? Trying to gauge his dynasty value, if any.

Blount had better produce, since I dropped Tolbert to pick him up.... Mathews was healthy so wtf on that, Tolbert was only supposed to be the GL back. Hopefully Blount will be that kind of GL back in Tampa.

I hate this hobby sometimes.
