Brad Biggs, of the Chicago Sun-Times, reports the Chicago Bears have re-signed free-agent LB Lance Briggs (Bears) to a six-year contract worth $36 million.
Disappointing short term, but Williams definitely showed something last year. With Briggs locked up and two more years on Williams' contract, Okwo likely learns Mike this year behind a quickly aging Urlacher.
I already had Okwo on my roster after the draft and I was trying to pickup Williams from a guy in my 32 team league. He declined all my offers because he says I gave him crap about Okwo being the player to own...something to the effect of "he had the last laugh." Well...we're both crying now.Guess I'll be dropping Okwo so I can free up a couple years and a little bit o' jack.

TD, if Williams was so impressive, why would the Bears choose not to play him in many of their nickel packages? I know he some more time later in the season, but that seems a huge red flag to me. I didn't get to see much of those games, had Williams looked a lot better then?
