Landry Jones staying in school (1 Viewer)

Oklahoma QB Landry Jones announced that he will stay in school for a fifth year in 2012.

OU's all-time leading passer with 12,389 yards and 93 touchdown passes, Jones holds 21 records in total for the Sooners. Projected for the middle of the first round early in the season, Jones showed poor decision-making down the stretch while watching his draft stock plummet. With Jones and USC's Matt Barkley out of the picture, Matt Flynn and "bridge" QBs such as Kyle Orton and Jason Campbell will be in greater demand http://www.rotoworld.com/headlines/nfl/225901/oklahoma-qb-landry-jones-will-stay-in-school

Smart move for Jones simply because he seemed to be regressing this season in his play so another year learning may do him good.

Not surprising. Anyone that told Jones he should have gone pro was :banned: . He regressed big time after Broyles went down only throwing 1 touchdown and that was in the bowl game. I personaly think he is more a product of the system than Bradford was, but hopefully he can put it together somewhat for his last year in Norman.

Landry will get it together and will get into the NFL.

His play following Bradford reminds me of Eli and Peyton talk. Landry was a top HS QB and has been extremely well coached and well drilled. He was a dunderhead this past year, but super impressive the year before.

The guy's not Bradford. Eli wasn't Peyton and it took him a long time to get over that stigma. Landry tried too hard and over-thought things so many times this year when a nice simple easy pass was available.
