Late Late round WR flyers (1 Viewer)

dexter 'the touchdown buster' mccluster

MARK IT DOWN!!

and he's currently rb in yahoo, but they'll probably rejigger his kajigger

also, simpson, but I wasn't sure if he was low enough to count.
No need for those type racial slurs in here.Agree on Jeffery, potential keeper in the making.

There are only two rookies worth owning in a re-draft, imo. Kendall Wright and Alshon Jeffery, however, each carry decent risk.

Some 2nd and 3rd year guys with upside that I'm liking late:

Brandon LaFell - I think he takes a big step forward. I am worried about him not being statistically "special"

Andre Roberts - IF you want the #2 in ARI, this is the guy to own over Floyd or Doucet. He has upper tier metrics which is a plus.

Doug Baldwin - I was higher on him in May. Worried about his hammy. Don't draft and wait to pick up via F.A.

Jon Baldwin - The other Baldwin. Dude had top notch combine metrics and has apparently "dazzled" in camp. I probably won't draft him but you can certainly make an argument for him.

Veterans who have potential for 1k yards:

Santana Moss - he's only 33 which is not yet old for WR. Two seasons ago he had more than 1k yards. Garcon looks good but maybe that opens things up for Moss?

Nate Burleson - dude is in a perfect situation to sneak in a 1k yard season. Only 31 and will never be double teamed with Megatron on the other side. Seems like the perfect late draft pick.

Absolutely agree on the Steve Smith STL nominations. Last month the guy wasn't even getting drafted in most leagues. He's starting to rise up boards, but still a very late pick.

[QUOTE='Nick Wagoner of stlouisrams.com]Rams receiver Steve Smith has ascended to the top of the depth chart and looked much more like the 2009 Pro Bowler. Smith, playing for the Giants, caught 107 balls that season for 1,220 yards and seven scores.

With all the love that Russell Wilson is getting, I'm surprised no one is taking a closer look at Golden Tate.

Just read through the FBG game summaries and it sounded like Tate played pretty well down the stretch. His numbers improved, and would have looked a lot better with a better QB throwing him the ball, as it sounded like Jackson was holding him back a bit.

He went undrafted in my league, so if he is in fact the week 1 starter I may pick him up for a one week tryout.

If nothing else, it would make a nice story - 5'10" QB throwing to a 5'10" WR.

eh, Steve Smith is okay - but don't expect anymore than WR4 or 5 numbers. He is really a slot receiver miscast on the outside until the rookies (Givens and Quick) get up to speed. Of course, that could take years.

-----------

I think someone as said this before, but Streater is a definitely worth a late add - Moore (i think) hasn't practiced in forever and DHB gets nicked up from time to time. Streater has really good hands and he can get deep.

In my league with super deep benches (18 roster spots) I took Leonard Hankerson and Brian Quick with my last two picks. I like Hankerson's breakout odds alot more than Quick. Would have liked to take Jon Baldwin or Alshon Jeffrey but someone beat me to the punch. They were taken in round 14-ish when I grabbed A. Smith and Hou Defense. I hope Hankerson is my Antonio Brown this year. Last year I took Brown really late, too, and that worked out pretty well...

I drafted TO.I'm curious about Kevin Ogletree. Think he has a chance to be the #3 WR in Dallas - any Cowboys homers agree/disagree? He went undrafted, so I can pick him up dropping TO. Robinson did OK from the DAL #3 spot last year and with Austin's balky hamstrings, the opportunity exists again....
I watched him at Virginia and he was a strong receiver in a mediocre/poor offense against ACC competitionI thought he would translate well to NFL, but watching 'boys games last year, it's clear he hasn't. I like Harris, Coale and Holmes better if you want to take a flyer on the cowboy wr situation.
I am an idiot

I didn't draft him thanks to you and teat. You guys owe me the money I'm going to have to spend to acquire him in FA now....
