Does anyone have any information regarding Michael Boley and the MLB position in New York? I have scoured over all kinds of reports, rankings, and the forums, and i dont see anything regarding him or the position.

Does the Linebacking Corps for the NyG have any good IDP value? Is Boley still the MLB and will he play in 3rd down packages?

Any help/assistance is appreciated. would love to here from jenel as well.

btw..thanks for the roundtable podcasts! looking forward to more!

boley is the WLB, and i think was in sub-packages last year and wouldn't expect anything different...a great tool on our site is the depth chart link... typically at other sites this is outdated quickly... bob henry is imo the best in the business, and must be updating these countless times during the frenzy...

it currently says goff MLB (reprising role last year) and sintim at SLB...

another handy tool is not just google, which if you punched in boley might yield initial links like his player profile pages, but to hit the sub category news on google... that yielded an immediate link that thay may have moved kiwanuka back to SLB (again), which would bump sintim (who has generally underwhelmed)...

if osi is definitely staying/playing (currently has an "injury"), this makes sense, as they already have tuck and JPP... if he is moved or a malcontent, though, i could see kiwanuka goes back to DE to be used in rotation and situationally (maybe a starting DE slides inside on passing downs, former DC spagnuolo popularized the all ((or near)) DE DL during super bowl season)...

but of course they can rush him from LB, and he can line up wherever he wants even if he is nominally labelled a LB within scheme... but at LB, when actually deployed as a LB, he also plays at a different depth, run responsibility different... kiwanuka is an unusual athlete... i appreciate that giants are creative in getting best players on field (than again, maybe they could just draft a better SLB than sintim :) )...

Thanks for the advice!

Which player would yield the most upside out of the Giants LB corps: Boley or Goff? looking at numbers from last year there is no clear winner from what i can see, and i find it hard to believe that th IDP production from the giants LB's are mediocre at best.

If Osi is moved, I think Kiwi will be playing enough DE to be classified as such, yet possibly also move to play SLB on passing downs, if he doesn't win the starting DE job outright from JPP at this point. Actually the Giants may prefer to also use him at SLB.

my advice would be stay away from all Giants LB in Redraft!!! Greg Jones is worth picking up in dynasty, Boley is a hard one to read because based on the offense he may stay in the whole game or sub out 50% of the time!!! Boley will get 10+ TACKLES one game and 2 the next, he is to inconstant to rely on as an every week starter!!
