League Problems (1 Viewer)

In my league it just seems the rest of the guys set a weird vibe along everyone else. I am not the commish, but I am very good friends with him and he has said that the other 9 guys in the league, just irritate him. We see each other at the draft annually and that seems to be it. People don't call to talk football, we don't meet during the season to hang out have a few beers whatever. The other guys in the league just kinda seem to be in it for the money and don't care for anyone else in the league. For instance, if we offered them a trade, they don't respond to it, or they just decline without a response/counter. Some guys don't set their lineups during bye weeks or start some players that are inactive. I will call or text a guy about football or a trade and he wont text nor call back after I had left many messages.I spose my question to you is, have any of you experienced problems similar to this? What did you do? Any suggestions for us? I feel we should just knock the other guys out of the league, however I don't want to have the others feel as if we are kicking them out. Perhaps just say he is done being commish and start a new league?

I only do leagues with people that I talk/text with on a weekly basis or have known for 10+ years so we are constantly talking crap/trades/etc.

Not even sure what it is you are proposing here. You and the commish would kick out 9 other guys and then go run off and start your own league with 9 more talkative, responsive owners?

If you don't like your league, start or join another one. Not everybody who plays is obsessed with fantasy football.

 Exactly what I was thinking. Why would you spend the time and energy of exiling 9 owners from your club of two? Just have him tell the league he doesn't feel like commishing it anymore. Then you can leave with him. And may I suggest an afternoon of mani/pedi's so the two of you can just put all of this drama behind you.

Well, each league has its own 'personality'. some are more social and the guys get together for beers and to watch the sunday games or the monday nite game. Other leagues are less social. Some are also more competitive than others. If you dont like the one you are in,m you should look for one that is right for you.

My recommendation:

dont just leave this league unless you absolutely hate being part of it. Find another league first, and do both leagues for one year. I would expect that halfway through the year you will know which league you like best, and once this becomes clear, let the league know you are leaving and give them lots of notice to find someone else.

Thanks for the insight. I am not trying to cause any drama in the site, it just sucks when you have trade offers on the table and guys dont respond to your emails and such. Didn't try to come off as dramatic as some have obviously comprehended.

Its not dramatic, but this is what happens when drafts and everything else is done online. i dont know your age or marital status, but seems that once guys get families, or stressful jobs, their time is nil. My local league that i have commished for 8 years now, none of us talk hardly at all anymore. . . Even had to do the online draft this year and normally we do it in person.

Your league mates just are not that into FF....I am, but if I had 5-6 owners calling me about trades, I would fly kick them in the throat.
