I agree that LenDale has issues and I am shying away. I disagree that this stat line has anything to do with it.

I get the point that it's just the preseason. My point is that we've seen what the other backs can do, regardless of what they look like in the preseason.When you look at players like White, Brandon Jackson, DeDe Dorsey and others struggle more than one game in the pre-season, you should take notice.Whereas, if you see Westbrook go 3 for 4yds. atleast you know what he gives you in the regular season.L. No, not really. Your point was all these guys did nothing in their preseason games. His point was all but one of them have already established themselves as actual NFL caliber runningbacks. Lendale has not done so and needs to in the preseason. Nothing last year, nothing in camp, nothing in PS1. LenDale White is expected to start the Titans' next preseason game after playing behind Chris Brown this past weekend.
Coach Jeff Fisher says he's rotating the backs and wants to get White eight-to-ten carries after he carried six times in the exhibition opener. There doesn't appear to be a set depth chart at running back in Tennessee yet.

For a guy like White preseason is VERY meaningful, for someone like Rudi Johnson not so much.

I agree, but the 1st preseason game isn't the end all be all of his career. Maybe we should wait until after the next game to start predicting his demise. He'll have to do much crappier later in the preseason for me not to take a flyer on him late in my leagues.

Joseph Addai went 3 carries for 3 yards in his first preseason action last year. Write him off.

I think you're smarter than that..... Addai is the obviously the man in his offense, no if's and or but's. White is in a battle with two other backs to try and be a starter. I've yet to read a good story line about him the entire offseason and then in the preseason game he does nothing. I'm not saying he can't turn it around but mediocre performances are not going to get him the starting gig. He needs to win it and he's done nothing so far.

but preseason for a back like Addai is just stay healthy for White it's something entirely different. Preseason does matter for non-starters.

I'm not writing anyone off yet but I'm looking for SOMETHING positive and have yet to see anything. White is in a battle for the starting spot and even though the team wants to hand it to him he's done nothing to prove he's worthy. Whether it's in their 1st preseason game, OTA's, training camp, etc. I've haven't seen/heard/read anything positive.

He was average at best. It's hard to tell anything from a guy that's had 60 carries for 240 yards, no td's, and a few catch's. Pretty yawn worthy. He's never had more than 9 carries in a game and not much was expected of him playing behind two vets. This year he's going for the lead role and he needs to distinguish himself and set himself apart from the pack. This should have begun immediately after the season ended but instead of showing up in shape and raring to go you heard Fisher challenging him to get in shape, get healthy, etc. He has to prove he's worthy of the starting role and so far he hasn't done that.

You LenDale White haters are pretty amusing.
White was every bit the RB as Reggie Bush while at USC; in fact if you ignore ppr points, he scored the identical number of points as Bush from a Fantasy perspective over the last two years.
Last year it is true that White did not beat out Travis Henry to be the featured RB, and he only had 61 carries. But with those carries, he had a BETTER YPR than Bush!
He may have a bit extra weight. Big deal. So did Jerome Bettis and that did not stop him from gaining over 13,000 yards!
He may even have a discipline or focus problem, keep your pants on and give the kid a chance to mature.

I've said it before and I'll say it again.
The only Titan worth worrying about for FF purposes is Vince Young.
All their backs and receivers are worth a 16th-round flier at best.

College is irrelevant at this point. but guys don't get shot after shot in NFL unless you have extra ordinary talent which White does not. His golden chance whether he realizes it or not is right now.
By the way, I personally am not a hater at all. I'm looking at the situation totally objectively. If he blows up I'd be very happy to draft him but right now there's not a lot to like.

which leads to my other more important point...he was given the opportunity to be handed the starting job after Henry left and Brown was a FA. So what did he do? Got fat, got chastised and then got his weight back down. Came to camp and sat on the sidelines for a good portion of the OTA's with hammy problems. His opportunity to shine should have been from the draft on but instead seems to have made Fisher more agitated and what was White's on a silver platter after the draft is now a free for all.

I think we are pretty similar in thinking that you have to look at things as a whole with LenDale. My main point was, a preseason performance that was 6 carries in its entirety is a drop in the bucket if its even meaningful to begin with.
