Who are your top LBers that if given the chance due to injury of a starter or the fact the team is a non contender would/could explode onto the scene and possibly become be a 3-down LB? Also what players do you think will be taking over in 2012 that might not see the field this year?

N. Irving Den Due to Injury/2012 starter

A. Dent Atl Due to Injury?

K. Sheppard Buf 2012 starter

B. Carter Dal 2012 starter/Due to Injury (when off PUP)

P. Riley Was Due to Injury (Fletcher is starting to show his age)

Colin McCarthy is another. Should take over from Rudd as the starting MLB in 2012.

I like Jacquain Williams of the Giants quite a bit as well. He keeps getting thrown in increased packages and the Giants need some defensive playmakers. He may be that guy they need. He's said to be getting more opportunities as time goes on and Jesse Armstead is certainly a fan. Williams is out of South Florida (same school as Pierre-Paul)... seems the Giants have found some interesting athletic players from there. He's a guy I'm throwing at the end of my bench and waiting and seeing on.

Yeah, that's about right.Played as follows:Week 2: 41%Week 3: 54% (mostly because of Vick)Week 4: 45%Kiwi and Boley still playing most of the snaps at LB this point.

P. Riley Was Due to Injury (Fletcher is starting to show his age)
Perry Riley backs up Rocky McIntosh. If Fletcher goes down, Keyaron Fox would replace him.
Update with some info I just came across:
McIntosh missed the last two snaps for a simple reason – he was gassed after playing against a no-huddle offense and was replaced by Fox
Not quite sure why it was Fox and not Riley, or even if it really matters, as it was only 2 plays, but just passing along that when McIntosh did come off the field, Riley did not replace him.It may be a situation where Fox is the #1 ILB backup and Riley is the #2, regardless of which ILB comes out.

There was talk in the offseason about letting McIntosh walk via FA and promoting Riley to the starting job. Instead, they re-signed McIntosh and signed Fox. Not good signs for Riley right now.
