Ferguson and Aubrey are on bye next week. I can’t drop either. Based on my team it’s hard to drop anyone so I think it’s BETTER to just not fill a position if I can’t pull off a trade. I had Rice so I have one spot I can fill. Butker was a late bye week drop and he’ll probably outscore all the TEs out there so I released Rice and picked him up.
Here’s my bench (week 7.).

Otton and Henry are really the only “decent” TEs available, the rest are the 4pt or less projection guys.

Bench reasoning if you care…
I HATE handcuffing but it’s a keeper league where I was able to keep Hall and Robinson that’s why I have Allen and Allgeier. I can’t really drop Charbonet or Dowdle because Atl and the Jets have the same bye week coming up which is ALL of my backs but them.

is MHJ on IR or are you able to move him to IR? If so that's your 2 slots, get Henry and Butkicker, I might lean dropping Allgeier. If you drop Shakir someone is just going to snap him up.

No IR spot probably just playing Wilson if Harrison jr. is out and playing Ferguson on a bye unless something changes

Edit: here’s my plan. I really thought someone would have shared some creative ideas, kinda disappointed.
After the Cooper trade I was ok dropping Shakir for Wilson. I’ll play Wilson if Harrison doesn’t play. If he does I’ll drop him for the lowest ranked TE (that plays) I can find for Monday night. That’s be the guy that catches the no one cares TD!

Unless you have some wacky K scoring, I'd drop Aubrey. Wasting a roster spot for a kicker on bye is basically never worth it IMO.

No way I’m dropping him. I’d rather take the 0 for TE.

Dropping Aubrey is 100% based on kicker scoring. I have a league where kickers scoring so little compared to everyone else that I have gone weeks with no kicker and it hasn't changed any outcomes of games. If your scoring makes kickers meaningful and gives bonus for long FG's (I have a league where a 55+ yd FG is worth the same as a TD (or better) there is no way I drop Aubrey.

I am guessing the only TE's available on Monday will be Otton (as you said in the OP that he was available), Higgins (not a bad dart throw), Hurst (if he plays) and Kolar (as I am sure someone has Likely/Andrews). Otton isn't a bad fall back option.
