***Lions at Rams Official Thread*** (1 Viewer)

Lions up 19-17 near the end of the 3rd quarter...who could have seen this coming.
Lions are now 0-3 this year when they've led 19-17 at some point >.>

Gotta give credit to the Lions and their philosophy in general this game. Outmatched and almost overlooked, they were scrappy and gave the Rams a minor scare. Now 3 moral victories, if no actual ones. I'll still take it over the Bengals game and the first half vs. SF.

Successful onside kick, fake punt, & people think they weren’t aggressive enough? lol OK

When you’re a 17 point underdog you have to maximize your opportunities to score. You kick field goals when you’re a competitive team playing a similarly competitive team. Taking 3 points over the course of 4 situations when the talent is that tilted against you is bad game management imo
You have to take into account the situation of each individual FG including length of the 4th downs. In fact they went for it and failed. The Lions are a bad 4th down offense. They had to keep the game within one score or the Rams could have teed off on Goff. The Rams never led by more ghan 6 until the last minute. The Lions had a chance to win late in the 4th. I'll take that all day long.

I can’t think of anything that defines not being aggressive enough more than kicking 4 field goals when you’re a 17 point dog
At the time of each individual FG, I think the decision was fine.

Looking at the end result of 4 FGs doesn't tell the whole story.
