Lions coach caught with his pants down (1 Viewer)

Doctor Detroit

Please remove your headgear
I'm listening to the Tigers and there is a rain delay and 1270 in Detroit is reporting that Defensive Line coach Joe Cullen issued an apology to the team today for two recent incidents involving the police. I have no link for this but a link will be coming I'm sure.

Apparently coach Cullen was caught in Dearborn (large suburb to the west bordering the city) drinking and driving. Now this is really getting caught with your pants down as the season is upon us. In this case that saying rings true because coach Cullen did not have cloths on at least one of the times he was pulled over.

This is reason #2672 I'm not a Lions fan.

I put this in the FFA also. Mods can delete one or the other as necessary.

At the age of 38, if this guy hasn't grown up to the point where he stops getting drunk and naked in public, is there any hope for him?

Coulda been worse. He could have been getting off to some porn while it happened. Or had four guns and a hatchet.

This is a Matt Millen hire. No one should be shocked. The bare facts lead me to believe he likes the nightlife in Dearborn.

Despite getting caught driving drunk while naked, he has done more good for the Lions organization than two of their last four first round picks.

:bag:

The Lions coaching staff may want to check on their three-technique with this dude coaching them. Those dudes may be breaking out into Indian rain dances on certain play calls with this guy coaching them.

Underrated danger in this scenario: Dude sees one hot chick walking down the sidewalk while driving and suddenly he's pierced his air bag.

That can't be good.

"A little fired up down in the red zone." :lmao:

Forget the exploits of Peyton Manning and Ben Rothelisberger. Years from now, when you're balancing your great grandchildren on your knee, you can tell them that you were there on the day that Detroit Lions assistant coach Joe Cullen was arrested for driving in the nude. "But was he totally nude, great grampa?" "Yes, my child. Not a stitch." Or, as the official Dearborn police ticket will forever document the incident:

"Subject driving on public street without any clothes on. (NUDE)."

The incident actually happened on Aug. 24 and was the second time in two weeks that Cullen had been arrested; the other being for non-nude drunk driving. No one needs to tell us, of course, that Cullen once coached the defensive line at Illinois, where he was when the Lions hired him in 2005. In 2003, when he coached at Indiana, Cullen was involved in controversy when he slapped a player in the helmet during a game against Michigan State, later telling the Indianapolis Star that he had simply been "a little fired up down in the red zone."

Before you ask, no, there is no YouTube video of the arrest. We hope.

Boy, I'm sure he's got the respect of his team now.

Can you imagine the first time he goes to walk into the locker room now that this has taken place?

Lions | Cullen went to Wendy's nude

Fri, 8 Sep 2006 20:29:49 -0700

Jim Schaefer and Nicholas J. Cotsonika, of the Detroit Free Press, reports Detroit Lions defensive line coach Joe Cullen pulled his SUV up to a drive-thru window at Wendy's and placed an order in the nude Aug. 24. The worker took down Cullen's license plate number and told Dearborn officer that "the suspect did nothing obscene, other than being naked at the drive-thru." Wendy's manager Jethro Lett was working the second drive-thru window and said, "The cashier alerted me. 'A guy coming to your window is naked!'" He asked Cullen to pull over to wait for his food and brought his order out five minutes later. "He didn't say a word. I said, 'Here you go with your food, sir.'" It is unknown why Cullen was driving naked or if he will face additional discipline from the team or the league.

BTW your still failing every class but remedial gym and the Dean of accounts told me to tell you that you can't pay your tuition bill with your Pokeman Gold cardsNow on to coach, he's famous now! He's the first guy to ghost ride da whip drunk and naked!Give MSU a break redman he lives in an area where your brain is frozen 6 months out of the year.

OK, going to the Wendy's drive thru = stupid.

But since when is driving naked illegal? And does this mean everyone who is shirtless will get pulled over because they might be naked?
