Stephen Jackson gets no love and this YouTube dork gets no respect.
Funniest part is at the end where he makes it sound like he's the official sports reporter for "YouTube Sports".
On one of the preseason games this week they kept scrolling that they were very close to a deal but that has been a few days. I have no idea here. The longer it goes the more I worry the guy will injure something in the regular season because he won't be in shape. I fully expect him to the starter in week 1, but the longer he holds out the more likely I think he will miss games due to injury....mortensen just said they are now $6mil apart (down from 14) in guaranteed money. thinks they'll get it together next week.
somehow i don't think he's sitting on the sofa playing madden 08 while this is going on...On one of the preseason games this week they kept scrolling that they were very close to a deal but that has been a few days. I want to play in the league/s where Reggie Bush and MBIII go ahead of Steven Jackson. Hell, I'd take Jones-Drew over Bush(if I'm going to take a back that is in a RBBC situation i'd prefer that it be the one who actually got off last year). Barber is good but no way he's top 5 material.this guy lists the top 5 fantasy RB's as follows:1 LTKige Ramsey says he is in camp.

Correct. LJ is sitting on the sofa DOMINATING Madden '08.somehow i don't think he's sitting on the sofa playing madden 08 while this is going on...
I dunno, I'm not sure there's enough evidence to support the claim that a guy who holds out , gets hurt..I mean, Emmitt held out years back , missing two reg season games. went on to have one of the best-ever seasons by a RB. I'm not convinced holding out leads to injuries esp. when dealing with veterans...On one of the preseason games this week they kept scrolling that they were very close to a deal but that has been a few days. I agree. I mean they showed LJ training offsite on that ESPN Chiefs training camp series. The guy is in shape. Most of these skill position guys don't slack anymore in the offseason. There's too much at stake now. He might not be in top form, but I bet he's close.I dunno, I'm not sure there's enough evidence to support the claim that a guy who holds out , gets hurt..I mean, Emmitt held out years back , missing two reg season games. went on to have one of the best-ever seasons by a RB. How in the world could you tell that "the guy is in shape"? Because ESPN showed a blurb on him and he looked like his body always does? Or was he running?!I agree. Holding out increasing chance of injury = myth.
not exactly as simple as stating "Myth"Training Camp is vital for every player in the NFL. Taking hits and adjusting to the rugged week-to-week schedule is vastly underrated. (unless your LTHolding out increasing chance of injury = myth.![]()
Could be PR, could have been for a couple weeks, could have been a number of things. You know they have to look good in the midst of wanting more dough. Hey, he can go do 10,000 sit-ups in his driveway for all I care. Bottom line, it ain't training camp.B. Nugget said:The blurb they showed on "Hard Knocks" was from him working out at API (Athlete Performance Institute) in AZ, and it showed him squatting and doing conditioning drills with Brady Quinn (before he signed). I guarantee you if he is working out at API, he isn't slacking!
Well then, that is news to me. Seems strange to holdout because you dont want to practive with your teamHe'll show up when he wants to show up(most likely just before the start of the season). If you're a veteran and you're smart, you avoid camp like the plaque. That's all this is. Sure, he wants the cash, but the deal he gets tomorrow is not going to differ all that much from the one he was offered yesterday. It's all about not going to camp.
These guys work out year round. Camp just isn't that big of a deal for them.
