Pretty interesting. I like that the runner up of the Super Bowl should be presented something for their accomplishment.

You read it correctly, but if you look at the bottom of that thread it appears the author fesses up to the joke. Even if it were real I think it'd be silly to reward a team for losing.

Second place is for losers. Only one team in the playoffs ends the season happy and that's not the loser of the Super Bowl. The loser shouldn't get a trophy or any money or anything. They lost. Live with it and get better next season.
