Spikes & Crowell > Marshall and Washingtonbtw, don't expect his PD and INT numbers to repeat themselves. but, his tackle numbers will remain pretty consistent, IMO. he might add a couple sacks though.Birdie048 said:Buff had little LB talent around him but good DB's. The last three years the Redskins starting MLB (in Gregg Williams' defense) had the following number of INT's:2004 (Pierce): 22005 (Marshall): 42006 (Marshall): 0This past season was by any measurement a disaster for any number of reasons. Regardless, the MLB position certainly seems to provide some INT opportunities for the MLB. I agree that you simply can't predict TD scoring (my projections tend to not give any TD's except to a rare number of IDP's who seem most often to score, e.g. Deion when he played, or Mike Brown a few years ago) so you can't expect that from Fletcher, but I do think that an INT or two is a fair expectation.Spikes & Crowell > Marshall and Washingtonbtw, don't expect his PD and INT numbers to repeat themselves. but, his tackle numbers will remain pretty consistent, IMO. he might add a couple sacks though.Birdie048 said:Buff had little LB talent around him but good DB's. London Fletcher played MLB in a very similar defensive system under Gregg Williams and Jerry Gray for 4 years from 2002 to 2005. In those 4 years COMBINED (played all 64 games), he had 1 INT and 14 PDs. In his first year playing in the Cover 2, he had 4 INTs and 14 PDs.I'd agree that 1 or 2 INTs from him and maybe 6 or 7 PDs is a reasonable projection. I'm just saying it's very unlikely that he'll put up 4 INTs and 14 PDs again this year.During those 4 seasons under Gray, he did have 12.5 sacks...and he only had 2 this past season. I think he could bump that back up to 4 or 5 if they let him blitz more so that would help offset the dropoff in fantasy points from fewer INTs/PDs.The last three years the Redskins starting MLB (in Gregg Williams' defense) had the following number of INT's:2004 (Pierce): 22005 (Marshall): 42006 (Marshall): 0This past season was by any measurement a disaster for any number of reasons. WLB - Lemar Marshall/Rocky McIntoshMLB - London FletcherSLB - Marcus WashingtonWashington has had 2 surgeries this offseason so whoever loses the competition for the WLB spot could start at SLB if Washington is slow to recover.WTF? Where have I been? When did Fletcher sign w/ Washington? Is there a link to all the big signings so far this off season? How will this effect L. Marshall? I think R. McIntosh will start this season as well. McIntosh, Fletcher, and Washington will be the 3 starters?

That's the win/win nature of this signing for the Redskins. They have a proven MLB who is a heady leader on the field, and they free up Lemar Marshall (who was never a natural MLB anyway) to play in his more natural OLB position, where he can spell Rocky in the nickel and fill in for Marcus Washington if he needs more time to recover from his surgeries.Aaron Rudnicki said:WLB - Lemar Marshall/Rocky McIntoshMLB - London FletcherWTF?
