For me, in PPR leagues, I am going to reach if needed but try and get these guys on my teams as much as possible.:

At TE: Jimmy Graham; Gronkowski

At RB: Lesean McCoy; Matt Forte

At WR: Brandon Lloyd (love his production in that O); Welker

At QB (assuming I wait for a QB like every year which I will have to if I get Graham or Gronk early with my 2nd or 3rd rounder which is what it will take): Andy Dalton; Cam Newton

Unfortunately, everyone else will have the same idea. Add DeMarco Murray for me instead of Forte.

Rodgers is the only guy I can see. In one league I'm in he is 185 points over the QB baseline. I've never seen a player that makes up for so many poor draft choices & lineup blunders.

I have Rodgers in 2 leagues and there is no doubt that he is a stud, but there is a bit of a cautionary history for QBs who have had this prolific of a season. Of the 5 QBs that have thrown for 40 or more TDs in a single season, only 1 has thrown even 30 TDs the following year (or next full season played as in the case of Brady) and that was Dan Marino who threw exactly 30. That isn't to say that Manning, Warner, Brady, or Marino (twice) weren't solid following up those seasons, but no one has ever put up back to back years like that. History shows that chasing those QB outliers doesn't pay off. Maybe Rodgers is the exception, or the new rule, who knows.

This draft I would love.

1.9: Cam Newton

2.4: Chris Johnson

3.9: Rob Gronkowski

4.4: Dez Bryant

5.9: Trent Richardson

6.4: Kenny Britt

7.9: Ben Tate

8.4: Greg Little

9.9: Deion Branch

10.4: Jermaine Gresham

11.9: Kevin Kolb

12.4: Shane Vereen

A young team with a bunch of talent and upside. But chances are most of these players won't be available at these spots.

M. Bush, J Nelson, Vereen in the 5th or later unless the rest of the season or FA say otherwise. I'm not a fan of reaching. I always wait on TE's and qb's but next year may be a different story where I go with the cookie cutter strategy(rb,wr,qb,te in the first 4 rounds). I can't wait to do a mock draft! Lol

Any startup league worth their salt Richardson will go late 1st or early 2nd in a startup draft that includes rookies and vets.

If my league adds TE eligibility to our current flex WR/RB I wouldn't hesitate to go for Gronk and Graham in the 3rd and 4th rounds (Graham before Gronk). We already have 1 mandatory spot. Starting Graham and Gronk is like starting two top 10 WR's.............

In a redraft league it depends on where Richardson ends up........he could end up in Carolina - that would be fun.

What does everyone think of Marcedes Lewis?

Last year he looked like a SOLID TE.

Maybe with another year in the NFL, and some growth from Gabbert... He could be the Buy of the Offseason if in need of the position.

At WR: Brandon Lloyd
This is exactly who I was thinking of when I clicked on this thread. Lloyd is going to be a beast next year. Hopefully his year end production will hurt his value. His production in StL has been awesome. From weeks 7-12 the data dominator says he's #7 behind some guys unlikely to be in the top 10 next year.1. Victor Cruz2. Laurent Robinson3. Larry Fitzgerald4. Jordy Nelson5. Vincent Jackson6. Calvin Johnson7. Brandon Lloyd8. Roddy White9. Plaxico Burress10. Dez BryantFrom weeks 1-12, he's #23.

I think last year was the fluke season for Lewis. He's never been anything special, always had bad hands, never been a redzone target. Last season the cards lined up & he gets 10 TDs & cashes in with a big contract. This year he's back to his normal from his first 4 seasons. I have no interest.

:goodposting: that's why Drew Brees is a must have in 2012.. it's sort of the same thing with RB's who go for 2k yards, or who even get close to it,the drop-off in the following year is amazing.2012 boom candidates:Calvin Johnson Ray RiceBen TateDonald Brown - with or without ManningA. I think Ben Tate has become the new JSTEW or Michael Turner from when he was in San Diego. We get it people; he looks like he is the real deal, but why do you want him unless he is playing somewhere else or Foster is (and we can all know for certainty that if foster happened to go somewhere else, you're overpaying for tate...people can't resist the recency effect).

As nice as these lists sound, a LOT changes betwenn now and next September.

This list last year would have included people selling their children's souls to get Nicks or Finley and now there are threads every day asking if they are still #1 options at their positions. Food for thought.

I'll reach for Graham as early as late 2nd in a TE mandatory PPR. The advantage he gives every week vs your opponent is more than you'll find at any other position.
